I've ranked up the planet factions over 135 times in total. Here's what I learned.
ALWAYS MULTITASK!
Prioritize farming chests.
Try to get a ghost with a chest finding perk and/ or a faction token chance increasing perk.
The faction token's actually include the tokens from each moon/ edz.
If you don't have the chest finding perk purchase the scout reports from Cayde.
Learn the lay of the land and where the chests will spawn, this will allow you to create runs or loops.
When farming chests use a sparrow. It increases your range of chest detection and gets you to chests faster. You can even use a sniper rifle to check longer distances (this will give you the largest increase to your automatic chest finding radar).
As soon as you see a high priority target come into the game world. Murder it.
Some locations on certain moons/ edz will have pseudo-"High priority target"s spawn in fairly frequently but these will not show up as text on screen. Instead you will just have to know when/ where to look for them. They usually spawn with a specific group of enemies. Large group of Shanks, thralls ect.
When your chests stop giving you tokens swap to another character, or do an easy patrol mission and maybe a public event.
Try to multitask as much as possible. Pick up a patrol mission before you start farming chests or start doing a public event. Chances are you will probably be able to do both at the same time thus increasing your efficiency.
Psychology: Try not to turn in your tokens until the end of the entire day. It may be tempting once you get enough to rank up once, but it will feel much slower if you keep turning in your tokens every time you get the required amount. And its also technically less efficient.
When doing a public event try and join as late as possible, thus increasing your efficiency. Public events have pretty terrible time/ token ratio.
If you are farming with a friend/ friends you should be prioritizing patrols as they can be completed 2-3x as fast with a fireteam. Each person increases the speed of completion by 2x. When you have done all of the kill or pick-up patrols spawn into another location and do the patrols in that area.

6 отв.That sounds like being busy for the simple sake of being busy and convincing oneself that there are loads of things to do. If this is anyone's routine, I have some advice: Switch the game off and go outside for a walk because you need to create some space between yourself and this game. Seriously, grinding a casual game like D2 as if it is a military operation is not good for your health.

I grinded 3 of them past 20, and what I learned is this game is boring as watching paint dry. Also the armour is fugly and most of the guns are rubbish.

1 ответI stopped handing in planet tokens weeks ago. Since there's literally no reason for me to hand them in, I'm saving them for when bungo decide to fix it. I don't want or need the armour sets, I've got my own better ones: each character has a full faction set, almost all crucible sets etc.

2 отв.And the tokens give you legendary items no higher than your blue drops.... unless you are 300 or 305(with mods) then maybe after searching for a magic vendor you can get items to drop at 300. But that’s a separate website to wait for votes to see where that magic vendor is located. 🙄

1 ответYou aren’t farming for tokens. You are farming for legendary items which means you are farming for legendary shards. What do legendary shards do? They serve one purpose: to infuse with other gear. Once you’ve infused to a certain level, there is no other use for the shards. You’ve hit a wall. There is nowhere else to go within the D2 economy. Have fun building your legendary shard stash, one disappointing loot chest at a time.

Much easier than worrying about getting a ghost with the resource locator perk for a specific location. Also don't overlook the destination's materials when farming as they're just as good as turning in tokens.

3 отв.Farming chests is cool and all. The only issue is that there is a loot timer for chests. Game stops giving you tokens after 4 chests within a 5 minute span.

6 отв.I stopped spending tokens weeks ago, just saving them for next dlc. Who knows might be some new weapons and armour worth something. Plus there should be a power increase.

I'm extremely close to having three complete lunar/ edz armor sets now. I have the new pacific Arcology titan set and the hunter set. Almost have the edz titan set, just missing the chest piece.

Technically the math is a little more complicated than "2x faster" on that last part.
