I am about 275 at the moment and I can't find any items (drops, engrams received from NPCs like the gunsmith, the planetary ambassedors, like Failsafe, etc for ressource exchange etc) which are higher than 267, in fact they ALL ARE 267.
So I guess, the only way to make progress for me is to do the weekly challenges, the nightfall and the raid, which is tops 5 items (?) per week to progress.
Do I get this right?
Edit: To shorten the search, this sums up all possibilities to progress you powerlevel after level cap at 260:
Raid
Nightfall
Trials
Clan Rewards
Weekly Milestones
(Exotic Drops)
Thanks for the help!

does anyone do the meditations, again you have to get faction points but they helped me get out of the 260's. It seems like you do have to burn up shards raising your lihjt 1 or 2 points at a time though.

Изменено (will1084): 9/21/2017 4:51:28 PMDon't forget that when you have +5 mods on your gear your power level goes up but the base power level of the gear stays the same if you have a piece of gear at 270 with a +5 mod on it you can infuse any gear of the same kind with a power level 266 or higher to increase the gears base power level Also if you have multiple toons run one up as high as it will go then move the guns with the highest power lvl to your other toon and do all the weekly stuff with that one with any luck you will get your guns up higher than they were to begin with Farming public events for exotic engrams with a fireteam medallion going also works well Good luck

let see raid is guaranteed 3 items. just from tokens with a chance at 4 more form the event chest and of course 3 chances at a exotic from the 3 exotic chests. thats 10 items from the raid alone... next is exotics, which from heroic public events i beleive is somewhere around 1 in 20, nightfall of course. the powerful gear than (which is 4 more than) so not including trials i count 15 gear upgrade chances, as well repeatable public event grinding...

even weekly call of arms , flashpoints are capped the only way to get high level gear = exotic engram , raid drop, nightfall drop
-
Pretty much, it's becoming increasingly apparent to me that as a solo player I can only level up once a week when the weekly challenges comes out. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

Изменено (dnrobs): 9/21/2017 7:18:13 AMIt's always been that way, it took 4 or 5 months to reach max light in the taken king. Some weren't max until the April update. I was only 307 when hard mode come out in October and I was highish.

Completing your milestones once a week will give you "powerful" gear. Also exotic engrams will help boost your power level.

Im getting 293 blues. Keep playing. It's destiny.

There will be a cap, but it's higher than that. Mine are currently dropping at 291. Your legendary mods don't count towards the power level of an engram. I managed to get to 300 by doing exotic quests, the milestones especially the flash points etc, and exotic engrams which are currently dropping at 294. All my legendary engrams were capping at 287 until I tried the raid and they began dropping at 288.

I think you have to reach a certain light before your loot decides to drop higher

Yup, few hours a week unless you want to grind public events for exotics. Gotta slow people down some how.

Изменено (O_Town_Racer): 9/20/2017 12:39:17 PMEvery week you have new "Milestones". Some of these milestones have legendary "Powerful Gear" as a reward. These can deliver higher light level gear than what you have. Example: Do the "Flashpoint" event (this week it is on Titan) and play a few public events. Once that milestone is complete, go back to Cayde-6 for your reward. You have a pretty good chance of getting an exotic from a Powerful Gear engram. Also, all exotics drop at a pretty high light level compared to your current light level. If you get duplicates or ones you don't plan on using you can infuse them into legendary gear to bump up your overall light level. Once you get an Exotic you have the blueprints in your collections inventory and can get it back anytime for 10 legendary shards. Once you hit 280 light, you can get legendary weapons and armor perks from the gunsmith which can be applied to your equipped gear and weapons. These will bump the power level up by 5 on each (the same as exotics have by default).

Don't forget weekly flashpoints, which is as easy as doing a few public events on a destination. Also, as your power gets higher, blues (rares) will also start dropping higher (typically 10 points lower than your current highest possible power level). Once you get to 280, you can also get legendary mods from the the gunsmith, and they add a +5 to your armor or weapons' attack/defense.
