I'd support it either way. it isn't a big deal to me. I do prefer the mute protagonist due to how this game attempts to make you the lead. You state Halo as an example... but its not a good one. Halo presented a character. I did not feel like that character at all, and that was okay. Halo wasn't trying to tell me that spartan was me. When Chief said something I wouldn't (because lets face it... he says more bad ass things than I do), it was fine because I recognized he was a character in this universe. If Destiny wants to do that. present the character as a real person in the universe. I wouldn't mind, but it would come with challenges. Challenges that obviously reared their ugly head in Vanilla D1 with terrible generic (some would say there was no point in voicing) voice lines. It is no longer an isolated instance that has one master chief. It is a lot of instancing (some might say shared instancing :D) And how are all those characters the "same" person with the "same" voice actor. They are solving more problems than they are creating with a mute protagonist. It just fits. Also. I do not feel I fit in either of your two categories. I have been gaming for 20 years and have played a diverse set of games in that time. I think a mute protagonist is the right creative decision with the goals of Destiny in mind.
