No weapon has enough damage fall off for this idea to even make a difference.
Snipers escaped the nerf for so long. They're in a good place right now.

This is just one of the many things that would help balance the crucible. Once bungie fixes damage fall off, this would work really well. Imo, a weapons effective range should be the limit to its Max capabilities. This also includes flinch. My idea would balance primary flinch more than "buff" snipers. It would just make them how bungie intended and the sniper's counters would be as they intended also.
