Having my screen jumping around just because someone is scratching me with an Unbent Tree doesn't sound very fun or interesting.

Even if they are getting headshots, if they are out of range and only getting up to 7-10 damage per shot, that shouldnt be too much flinch according to my plan. Right now, every single one of those bullets would give the same flinch from 50 meters away as from 10 and I think that's what needs to be fixed. My solution should help with the other issues too

Yeah my idea should reduce that flinch a lot because (down range) the flinch should be very minimal if it is only doing 1-5 damage per shot

Unless they're landing headshots.

Even if they are hitting headshots, if it is a short ranged weapon, it wouldn't have that much flinch if bungie implemented this plan. Things like scout rifles would deal more flinch per shot down range than the other primary weapons and I think bungie would like it that way. I think they have said that scout rifles should be good counters to snipers and this idea could allow that to happen. It could possibly cause players to use a more diverse range of weapons also because of the flinch differences
