Not on that day, at least, but soon. So there was hope. He could reach tomorrow with that hope. He also realized that she was right. Even he knew that he was not immortal. His Ghost had probably started retreating back to warn everyone of the horrors that lurk here, assuming that Rezyl was lost to the Hive. The black cloud that had been suffocating him was beginning to dissipate. He could see that the corridor was now lit. Not brightly, no, but enough. Enough to see the witch. Enough to see the writhing mass of bodies that now surrounded him. He leapt at them from a crouch, as to catch them off guard, Arc Light crackling in his clenched fists and down his arms. And as he hit the ground, he felt only two things. He felt his Light, shining brighter than it ever had before.
