Who do you think knows more about how weaponry works
A good plauer who knows hoe to utilize each weapon to their best potential? Orna bad plauer who struggles with any weapon given to them?
Stats do matter a lot in the say. Bastion in overwatch for example was considered extremely overpowered in the first few weaks by bad players, he is now considered one of the worst heroes in the game without any changes, but people adapting to counter him

Изменено (AZURPHOENIX999): 10/28/2016 7:28:55 PMJust because a player is bad, that doesn't automatically mean they know less. In addition, having a low k/d doesn't automatically mean the player is bad, there are plenty of things besides skill that affect statistics. EDIT: Also, there are plenty of instances where the players perceived as "good" are the ones complaining about something being overpowered. Remember Universal Remote? Rather than find a good counter (of which there were PLENTY), people instead labelled it OP and got it nerfed. Most of the people complaining about it were actually fairly decent players, which kind of goes against your assumption that highly skilled players know more.

Изменено (Orpheus49): 10/28/2016 7:38:58 PMKnow more does not mean =/= complains less Kd shows your lethality as a player, if its negative, then you are a bad player without any doubt. It paints a picture, but other factors like medals give it color As for bad players knowing less, bad players tend to be the ones complaining about tians skating only seeing the speed, while good players consider it awful since it leaves you way too exposed
Kd shows your lethality as a player, if its negative, then you are a bad player without any doubt.
It really doesn't. As I said, there are other factors that affect k/d, such as weapons equipped, the map, who they are playing against, and whether or not they actually give a f*ck during that particular game. I'd use myself as an example, but I get the feeling people'd just assume I'm making excuses. I'm not the best player in the world, but I'm certainly not as bad as my k/d makes me look.
-
If your not trying then that means your a bad player, becuase you are performing poorly Im not good on linear maps, i play agianst some really tough dudes in rumble, i hate most of the year 2 maps The majority of year 2 was not catered toward my playstyle, yet im still retained a fantastic kd, combat record and still got phantoms here and there Don't make excuses, a good player may be less effective in certain situations, but overall will overcome most odds
-
Изменено (AZURPHOENIX999): 10/28/2016 8:33:06 PMNot making excuses, stating facts. Generally not giving a f*ck is a short, but accurate summary of why my k/d is low. Regardless of why my k/d is low, I shouldn't be bashed for it or treated like I know nothing about the game, and neither should anybody else.
-
Also so much for bot giving a -blam!-, why would you wanna hide them if you didint give a -blam!-?
-
To help prevent the needless bashing from idiots who think k/d is everything.
-
Its not, but its a big factor into the overall effectiveness and knowledge of a player
-
Maybe so for PvP, but you can't determine how good someone is at PvE content by looking at their crucible stats. In addition, just because someone isn't very skilled, that doesn't automatically mean they know nothing.
-
Bastion example again, lotta people thought he was op because of his huge dps, and self healing, but the good players knew all the ways to cuhger, like aoe damage, deflecting with genji, explosives, hooking him, sleeping him, itc Bastion went from apparently broken to worst hero. Simply because good player got more experience and countred him, while bad players still struggle with him The only thing a bad player can know about much nore than a good player, is what they dont know Direct quote from my financial teacher

Universal Remote example again. A lot of people thought it was OP, because of its long range and the fact that it's a primary. All the GOOD players were complaining about it, but whenever someone of a lower skill level stepped in to defend the weapon, they got bashed for two things: 1) If they had used the weapon in the crucible, they were bashed for not wanting to lose their crutch weapon, and thus their opinion was automatically deemed invalid. 2) If they hadn't used the weapon, and were simply saying they had never found others using it against them to be an issue, they were bashed for not knowing its capabilities, and their opinion was automatically deemed invalid. I see the logic behind your way of thinking, I really do, but your making the false assumption that this logic applies to every situation. Your making it seem like the player with higher skill is always the smarter one, but that's simply not true. There are plenty of people out there who know their stuff, but simply can't play as well.
-
Youve got it backwards, universal remote was actually proven to have less range and a horizontal spread, making it less effective at one shotting All the good players i knew, know that people using could not get in a gunfight, so they met them at midrange and gunned them down Never needed a nerf
-
Изменено (AZURPHOENIX999): 10/28/2016 9:43:29 PMI know it never needed a nerf, I was one of the people arguing against the nerf that people were crying for. When I did, I was ridiculed for having a low k/d, and because I hadn't used UR in the crucible (I've had it used against me numerous times, but it's never been a significant problem considering you can just walk in the other direction to get away from it). Now that it's been given an unnecessary nerf, it's "alright" in the crucible, and it's pretty much useless in PvE. We were supposed to be debating a weapon's effectiveness in various situations, and one of the only arguments the other guys ever used was "you have low k/d hurr hurr hurr". Do you have any idea how goddamn insulting that is? It had barely anything to do with what we were talking about and those sh*theads were saying it like it was actually relevant.
-
Well considering you didint even know about its pellet pattern
-
I didn't even mention the pellet pattern, what makes you assume I didn't know about it?
-
You thought it had more range than a regular shotgun, but its pellet pattern is horzontal, so it didn't have a good one hit range
-
Its one shot range is and always has been better than regular shotguns, but only if you're taking advantage of the exotic perk, otherwise you may as well just use a different gun.
-
Even when using the perk its horizontal spread still made it worse, maybe this is why they insulted you?
-
Firstly, horizontal spread has never been much of an issue with a friend of mine that has used it religiously since he got it back in April. Secondly, horizontal spread was never brought up in the debate on either end, they just insulted me for a low k/d, that's it.
-
Shows how much you know, your only proving my point
-
Изменено (AZURPHOENIX999): 10/28/2016 10:20:54 PMYou might think so, but I'm really not. While I may not use the weapon myself, I have seen it used reliably by many, and your words don't do it justice. I grow weary of this discussion, your past few responses have been nothing but re-skinned jabs at my intelligence. I see this isn't going anywhere, so I'll end this conversation here.
-
Im only taking jabs at your flawed logic becuase it holds no ground https://youtu.be/pNmPVnedMHk

Think of it like this, someone who does not know how to use a gun, might think its sucks or its the worst gun ever Someone who has mastered it knows its true power, its flaws, its benefits Someone who gets killed over and over by a gun mgiht think its op or not balanced and its unbeatable But the guy who practiced with itneeds to know how to control the recoil, knows exactly where it's useful, and what beats it
