I find it funny when people use stats to make their case, like that is in any way an indication of whether an argument is sound or not.
For example: claiming "X" gun/subclass ability is too much results in
"Derp! Your KD is less than 1! Shut up noob go hom git gud derpa derpa derp!"
It creates this theory of a coorelation between having a higher KD, and having a lower IQ...

Изменено (AZURPHOENIX999): 10/28/2016 5:50:33 PMThis is why I made the post. Someone makes a post about something in the game that needs to change, and then someone else just looks up their k/d and acts like all their points are suddenly invalid. It's like...you could make the most educated and well-written post in the history of everything, but if your k/d is low that's literally all some people are going to talk about. It just derails the conversation from whatever the post was originally about to people harassing the op and op either trying to justify their low k/d or otherwise defend themselves. It's precisely bullsh*t like this that made me take a 6 month hiatus from Elder Scrolls Online.

By giving them attention about it, you're just fueling their argument and making them feel even more validated.

It's actual called something: Argumentum ad hominem It is a logical fallacy that is used to descredit the one making a claim via a personal attack rather than concern oneself with the claim alone. You see it all the time in political debates, and other arenas of thought where intellect is severely lacking.

You just reminded me of something, do you think I'll be able to have a nuclear bunker installed behind my house by the 8th of next month?
-
Only if you do it the Trump way: Hire the best guys to get it done promising a boatload of cash, and then pay no one.

How many people do you think are actually aware that there are more than 2 candidates to vote for?
-
Not many, which is sad. Most will see the names for the first time ever in the voting booths.
