New Exotic Sword Idea
Weapon Name: In Death's Stead
Damage type: Void
Exotic perk: Hand of the Reaper; Instead of the normal. "Hit R2 and ability" I was thinking it would be that you hold R2 to ready the ability, and release to unleash it. Basically what it does is, your character dashes forward with the blade causing damage slightly below what dark drinker is capable of, still strong enough to kill guardians in their supers. When getting a kill with the Special ability health regen is triggered. Cool down of about 3 seconds. Every 2 dashes.
Visuals: Black blade with a cloth wrapped handle, slightly curved at the tip of the blade, kind of scythe like. When unleashing the R2 ability a type of Aura surrounds your guardian resembling a reaper and it's scythe.
I'm probably forgetting to mention something at this point but yea, there's my idea lol. Good? Bad?

I say a sword and shield combo, and the ability is a wider AOE shield so you can use to cover your allies in heavy enemy fire situations.

A Katana would feel like the proper weapon for an ability like that. If we're talking about exotic swords, when are we getting Radeghast's sword? Bungie should let us reforge the damn thing.
