I'm of the view the worm ate oryx the moment he lost. That's how the darkness works in my eyes.
However I agree with you on how the relms work.
This also makes me think that the vault of glass was a vex attempt at a throne world and by Killing anethon which actually killed a significant ammount of vex processing power based on the fact they are a hive mind of sold state drives.
The more you kill the more stuiped they get and atheon was acting though out time. So that's a big defeat.
As for the hive without oryx we might start seeing unexpected things happen now they don't have diviy up their light

God dam phone.... Basicly the vex all part of one network. But the information is stored in a soild state system Because of being space plankton limations So when you kill a vex the info that local unit had is lost forever. This is ok if you kill a simple vex unit as they are mostly used for local calculations. However killing a vex mind is a significant loss and heavy impact on local units until a new one can be supplied. So just like a server farm if you can take out enough hard drives you could in theory crash their network. And the more damage you do the longer it takes them to recover because they have less processing power in which to work out the data. The real victory will be in killing what ever they use for backups but their is a chance they don't backup data due to resource limitations
