[i]Yeah, as a strictly PVE player I'm extremely upset about every single nerf in this game and to be honest with you, I sick and tired of Bungie constantly nerfing everything in Destiny. It doesn't help that almost every single nerf in destiny ( minus the Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker ones ) is a result of Bungie trying to balance PVP. Needless to say, after a while I've become very bitter towards everything PVP related. To be honest, I don't really give a crap about K/d ratio's in the Cruicble. I did my time in the Cruicble in year 1 in order to complete the bad JuJu and Invective exotic bounties ( I even gave Thorn a shot ) and I hated every single second of it, I hated it so much that I promised myself that I'd never ever go back ( only reason why I went in the first place was because I barely had any exotics in year 1 and I kept getting the bounties ). As for the Hunter nerfs, more specifically the Gunslinger trip mine grenade nerf. I have read the update over and over again and the only thing that Bungie have changed is that the grenades no longer stick to combatants but they still stick to surfaces. On paper it isn't a huge nerf ( granted I haven't used trip mine grenades in a long time so I can't remember how they worked before the nerf ). Other classes have been nerfed harder in the past. In the previous update, Bungie said that they did not feel as if Sunsinger's were outperforming the other classes ( as backed up by the data they showed, they near the bottom of the pack )and yet they still nerfed firebolt grenades and flame shield. While I get that a lot of Hunter players are upset ( and I do sympathise even though the tone of my earlier post does not seem sympathetic ) the constant ranting and complaining isn't helping 'your' cause. The more 'you guys' complain about the nerf, the more Bungie feels vindicated that they did the right thing. The best way to deal with it is to just accept it, time will tell if it makes any difference. Everyone is acting like this one 'little' tweak to a grenade is going to completely cripple the Gunslinger's K/D ratio, it's not. It's more than likely that the main reason that Hunter's are so dominant in the crucible is because the class just attracts the most skilled and hardcore PVP players due to it's high mobility and it's ability to hit hard and fast. My experience with the class in PVE has taught me that they are Glass Cannons.[/i]

I wrote this before the article came out, but yes I did read it once Bungie came out with the weekly update. I do wish they had broken out the info a bit more. Like... Do tripmines get more kills for those hunter classes than other classes? Or melee kills? Something that would justify their specific changes. How do we know the k/d disparity isn't due to roaming supers? The graph justifies Hunter changes, but doesn't provide enough info to justify any specific changes.

Lolz!! One graph showing that in 6V6 competition that hunters had an OVERALL higher k/d ratio. Those are not all the facts. It's one graph showing results of a human competition. If we were to base everything in life off a graph, Canadian Hockey teams, American Football teams, American Baseball teams, Men's leagues of everything, and bacon would be getting nerfed. On the flip side, the exact opposite of that would be true for everyone else. The Khazakstan Hockey teams, Canadian Football teams, Japanese Baseball teams, Women's leagues of everything, and Vegans would be getting buffed so they could compete with their counterparts at the same level. Seems legit. Illuminati confirmed. Meat the Vegan menace.
