Funny that you're just making a joke but that could be a serious theory. The number after an Exo's name is how many times its memory has been wiped. Meaning Banshee-44 has had his memory wiped 44 times. And Cayde-6 had his wiped 6 times. If he really were truly Cayde-7 that would mean that he, or someone else, wiped his memory without him even knowing. Which would be weird because Exo's seem to know roughly how many times they've been restarted. Banshee says something along the lines of "which cycle is this? 41? 42?" So Cayde-6 actually being Cayde-7 would be a shock

So if they get wiped, is it like a true memory wipe, like a hard reset? Or is it more like restarting your computer?

It's like the crappy steam delete game button where it deletes enough to where the game is no longer runnable but there are random files that are left over everywhere.
