You're Not You When You're Tired
In what ways do you behave, think or perceive differently when you're really, really sleepy?
[spoiler]As an example, some people might laugh a lot and very easily. Some might be more truthful than usual. Some might see everything as being brighter, or things might seem a lower pitch than they actually are. Some might start to think food tastes better when they're exhausted, or they might think everything in their life is perfect. Some people even get very sexually excited when they're on the verge of passing out.[/spoiler]

Depends. If I'm tired mid afternoon, I'm really lazy, quiet, and a little grumpy. If it's midnight or later, I tend to do things I normally wouldn't do and I laugh excessively at things that aren't funny.

I've never really had alcohol besides cider, but my friend says she's really curious to see what I'm like when I'm drunk based on the stuff I say when I'm just sleep-deprived. I mean I throw compliments out like I just don't care when I'm sleepy, and I'm really open and chatty with people.

Изменено (Auttumnnnn): 5/2/2016 1:39:00 PMOnce I reach the point where I'll periodically pass out for just a moment, my mind goes a little crazy. I start to confuse reality with virtual. I begin to perceive and rationalize everything as if I were in a video game. People are instead characters or NPCs. Things I need to do are quests or objectives. Places are instead areas or levels. If I think about doing something like closing a door, I imagine it's done by pressing a button. Conversations are recalled as set dialogue options. If I want to turn off the light, I sit there trying to remember how to get to the Brightness settings. If something's been aggravating me, I think about how the difficulty is too high. Obviously thinking about it now, I understand it doesn't make any sense. However, at the time, it all makes sense to me. When it's going on, though, I'll get very confused as to why I can't find the menu or why I'm lying in a bed. Also, I'll have a difficult time keeping my eyes focused on whatever I'm looking at properly, and that will really confuse me as well. cx

I get grouchy and belligerent. If I get really tired (and I mean REALLY tired, like 48+ hours of no sleep tired) I start hearing a voice. Usually it asks "[i]Where are you?[/i]" and I start saying, "I'm here." Then it will usually say something like "[i]I can't find you. Where are you?[/i]" and I repeat my initial answer. After that I start talking to myself until I finally pass out. True story.

When I'm tired I'm just tired no real change except for how alert I feel. However, when it's late at night I get utterly ridiculous, and do stupid shit just to entertain myself. I do this a lot even when I'm not sleep deprived, but when I am it's a whole 'nother world
