Why hasn't Golden Gun been buffed yet?
I'm not talking about extra PVP health (although it would be nice), I'm talking about the base damage of the 3 measly shots you get in PVE.
Datto had a good argument in his balancing video about how it would be overpowered to simply one shot yellow enemies, but at the same time it shouldn't take all 3 to get them to half health. I'm surprised it's taken Bungie this long to not realize how awful it is.
Normal heavy weapons shouldn't easily do more than a direct super to the head. That's pretty unfair.
A buff like this wouldn't really affect PVP, so there isn't really a reason to not go through with this.

How is Aclyophage Symbiote now? Did they buff it enough to warrant using?

It would not allow max armor classes to tank shots anymore. Some people spec for this specifically, so yes -- it would have an effect on pvp. I don't disagree with you, but try using golden gun to finish off majors. You must be new, because if you weren't you'd remember the knights at the beginning of the crota fight.

I agree. I think this is the tip of the major, underlying problem: PvP driven nerfs. I know, GG was never nerfed, but this falls into that same train of thought the sandbox devs are using. They need to completely separate the 2 modes of Destiny. That way you CAN(and should) be "overpowered" after grinding for the good stuff in pve. You SHOULD be able to stomp the hell out of something 40+ light below you. GG should take a bunch of health off a ultra. This happened to the Hammer already. I say, if they aren't going to buff it in pve then give Gunslinger the "simmering flame" perk like the titans have. I know that i hardly use the super since the big nerf, i just take advantage of the 12.5 second grenade cool down. Just a thought. They won't fix pve until the sequel though so i'm wasting space on the interwebs haha. Have a good one!

I agree even though I dislike all the nerf/buff posts. For PVE the golden gun is really useless. Precision shots should be better reward or increase the # of shots.

Just buff the damage however much it needs. It's a one hit kill in pvp now. Damage increase just means you'll be what ? Deader? Titan bubble should be buffed to reflect changes, again no knock on effect.

1 ответUse Celestial. I solo bosses in Court of Oryx all the time with it. It drops any tier boss in one or two hits. Couple it with ashes to assets and quick cool-down with 300+ intellect and you can mow the Antiquated boss solo.

1 ответI've always said they should give GG a precision damage bonus, buffs it in PvE and PvP, makes the helmet that zooms in make more sense.

Yeah it kinda needs a buff for PvE. I feel like it should actually kill normal (unshielded) yellow adds, a frigging yellow acolyte or vandal should definitely not be surviving, nor should Knights who are unshielded and can still tank all 3 shots -_-

There's no reason our supers shouldn't be op in pve. I'm sure the adds won't come to the forums looking for nerfs.

I think one of the reasons is because its like stormtrance, its meant for the small fry and to generate orbs. Whereas if you want it to be strong single target, you grab the nighthawk. Just my opinion though.
