EDIT: Alright maybe not to "win" but certainly to "gain an advantage very quickly over non paying users" and undermine players who earn their gear through grinding legitimately.
Regarding the "cosmetic" armor.
You can now buy as much armor as you want until you get the perfect stat/perk roll
Then due to the new infusion system, you can bring that perfectly crafted armor into the end game at top light level
EXAMPLE:
So if you get a 320 drop from King's fall now, you don't like the stats too much and you deal because that's the highest the armor can go. Or you infused one piece of gear you EARNED through another activity.
Now I buy 100 armor pieces until I get a perfect set of stats/perks and then infuse it with the top light level drop I get.
So before you had to settle and now you can pay to optimize your gear set.
EXAMPLE 2
You slave away every week for the hope of a chest piece with a high DIS/STRENGTH roll with rocket launcher ammo and solar armor for a chestpiece for your Sunsinger warlock. It takes you ages to play enough to get one to drop with those stats/perks and looks good. You do a couple of raids and infuse that thing to 320 after infusing it multiple times.
Someone else just payed 200 Silver to instantly receive the same chestpiece. They do a raid and now make it the same light level as yours.
They paid to get a perfect chestpiece with no work that a free user has to hope for in a drop after playing the game for a long time.
How can you guys not see the pay to get ahead aspect of that? A paying user gets the same gear a free user does at a much faster rate with less work to get the gear, with the almost the same work to infuse it.
Oh if you don't know the new infusion is 100%. So a 335 gear infused into 3 gear is 335.
Edit 2: "YOU RETARD IT'S ONLY 3 LIGHT! HOW IS THAT PAY TO WIN? WHAT AN IDIOT!"
^People in this thread who didn't read the post and don't see the real issues about what this means both now and for the future of this game going right over their heads because they are too busy thinking what emote they should buy to distract them from the taste of Bungie's cock in their mouths
EDIT 3: HAHA -blam!- ALL OF YOU SAYING THAT THE GEAR HAS 0 STATS. THE WEEKLY UPDATE SAYS THAT ALL GEAR WILL HAVE THE PERKS AND STATS AT RANDOM AND NOT TAKE ON THE STATS OF THE GEAR INFUSED.
CALLING ME A MORON WHEN I WAS RIGHT AND ALL OF YOU WERE WRONG.

Both Chroma and Taken-themed gear can be found in Sterling Treasures. Three Sterling Treasures can be obtained each week by visiting the Postmaster after each weekly reset, successfully completing one Level 41 Prison of Elders activity, and completing one match in the featured Weekly Crucible Playlist

You have to play the game to get those 330 items to infuse into them... Is it that hard to understand?

11 отв.It's a big problem. It's bullshit. Another overlooked Pay to Win is those double rep pieces also can be purchased.....

11 отв.Wow, so you can just pay cash to get the perfect stats and infuse into them? Is that right? Tell me that is not right. At work, didn't watch the stream..
-
You aren't winning anything but cosmetics. No matter what armor stats you have in destiny doesn't really affect your game because almost every piece of armor has the same stats. You still have to play to get the 335 armor/weapons so if you want to pay to get the armor go ahead but it won't really impact your game.
-
If you want to pay until you get the perfect stats be my guest. Doesn't affect me in the slightest.

2 отв.Not pay to win...pay to let bungie give us p2w option though. If ppl fall for this it won't be long b4 you can buy lo light gear and infuse it,and we know there are puhlenty hoarders out there, you know the ones that have mindlessly been grinding the same content for months now, they will buy the gear and infuse it which in turn will prompt others to want same gear..monkey see monkey do. Like a few ppl have said already next will be guns then the game no longer becomes a casual game you paid for, rather it'll become a grind fest to be like the other monkeys, and now it costs real money to look like your buddy or the guy that bags you in crucibles, and that's where the advertising will take place. Bungie ain't slick but most ppl are blind to the forest because of the trees in front of them.

It's still not really any better than the regular armor that you can buy from the vendors, and it doesn't give an advantage in terms of your light level. Not to mention you don't even know if you'll get the roll you want. There is pretty nothing to gain besides looking cool. At least you can get one every week.

Ever go shopping? In the shops, the shelves have a variety of items on them. As Pop said, the stuff of the top shelf- you have to reach for them! But seriously, there's a lot of choice in this world. Cars, games, houses, chocolate, drinks, etc. Usually, I select the things I like, dictated by what I can afford. I'd like a Porsche. Had to settle for something not quite as flash. When a game gets boring, like many do- I pay for, or play another. If I've got some spare cash, I'll buy some silver. If not, I won't. I'll still play the game because I've enjoyed the majority of the experience so far. Minus the baboons, pineapples, weasels and rabbits- Wascalwy wikkle Wabbits.

2 отв.Stretch that logic as far as you can.... Then go eat a snickers

But now the infuse system works as such. Whatever level you use to infuse your low level armor with now gets that light, no more infusing something 5 times to get it to the light you want. If I want 200 armor or weapon to be 320 then I take a 320 and infuse it, BAM it's 320

Изменено (Lull9): 3/30/2016 9:00:12 PMMany "perfect" or acceptable (oh no the boots don't have the agility bonus for your favorite weapons/subclass damage type!!! Lol) rolls are available guaranteed from the vendors. If you're crying about this, you're really crying because it's easier for others to play pretty pretty princess dress up. Grow up.
Since you brought it up... I have a feeling that YOU are an expert on the taste of cock btw.
5 отв.I would be make upset by this if it weren't for the fact that you can normally put together whatever you need/want from the vendor gear.

4 отв.Buying the $2 box only gives you one guaranteed 3 defense armor that doesn't have stats but it does have perks and a random chance at a bond, some items that deal with rep, and chroma. You still have to infuse the damn -blam!-ing armor with 335 light gear to make it useful so it's basically a transmog.
-
Pathetic crybaby child detected.
-
If people actually have enough money to give to bungo just for the chance to get a good roll, then let them. Bungie added it for idiots with money.
-
So let's say you pour hundreds of silver and atleast 30 raid completions to get your perfect set. Having slightly optimized stats, not better but optimized for one character does not bother me at all. If anything, in the worse case scenario that it is very rampant, our small event quality will skyrocket
-
6 отв.While the armor is guaranteed they did show that the rolls are random as well, so it's still RNG, sure people can pay to get more pieces, but that doesn't mean that 100% going to be a god roll. I personally do think they shouldn't be doing this as it seems idiotic and greedy, but at the very least they seem to keep it limited to cosmetics as they know that if it poured into weaponry there would be a mass amounts of complaints.
-
Aren't perks set while stats are random? It looked that way to me from when they viewed the armor.
-
-
8 отв.I can buy light 3 gear than infuse to 320 or 330 like its nothing. Wow

Wow. Thank you my friend. At least one other person understands what's going down...this might do it for me. At least I found ark...
