You are seriously comparing something that takes away your melee and grenade to do, doesn't track, doesn't burn for as long and you need to hit your target with to get the kill... You know just like a fusion grenade.
To a firebolt grenade, which you don't need line of sight. You need to land within 9 meters, and you can hit two targets at once and burn them for the next 7 seconds doing the maximum damage possible no matter how close they are to the blast.....
Seriously? All a wombo combo does is what a fusion grenade does. You hit someone direct you get the kill. And you need to use two abilities to do it. So what that it blinds you, you have to be hit dead on with one for it too work. If I hit you dead on with any grenade, it should kill you outright. Your only going to get multi kills if your opponents are beyond terrible and are literally standing on top of each other.
The only reason nightstalkers are good, is shade step. Their grenades are terrible and the super is very situational. It's either a bad novabomb or bad golden gun. If you gave nightstalker axion bolts, firebolts, lightning grenades or any other good pvp grenade you would never see the wombo combo ever again.
That team was beyond terrible. Two of them stood still inside of an area denial grenade. Some weren't even hit by the smoke.

You could say the same for fire bolt..." How is it OP when it takes up 2 whole perk slots!!!!!". Yet it's still OP
-
Because neither perk slots clash with anything. They are by far the best options in the perk trees. You also only have to use your grenade to get the full effect of the firebolt even stronger. And Viking funeral makes the best melee in the game even better.

Smoke acts as area control, unlike fusion. It can also make multi kills much easier than fusion. Sometimes people work together in close quarters, but they didn't expect the OP smoke to end their whole team. You don't need to use your grenade for smoke to be effective. It also blinds you so your enemy can't fight back. Even stuck people can still blast you with some final rounds. Perhaps you're right in that dead-on grenades should kill. But first, that's not the case outside of stickies. Second, smoke is not a grenade. Nighstalkers are not just good because of shadestep. They can also get keen scout for super radar and wall-tracking with exotic armor, which furthers boots their already great gunplay talents. Their grenades are not terrible unless you are. Their super is never situational unless again, you're terrible. Fist of Havoc is even more situational but people think it's OP! Also, it suppresses and weakens better than even suppressor grenade, kills normal targets on hit, and it gives you armor (unlike golden gun). It's a great super when used properly. And yeah, that team sucked. But it was a fun video, yes?

I agree on every singe point.
