If you don't have it then you didn't pay for it. You paid for what you already have. Now you get new stuff but you armt paying anything more!
Let me give an analogy. You buy a box of pop tarts. What the -blam!- there are only 4 pairs of pop tarts but you wanted 8. Well you paid and you ate them but you still hungry.
But Kellogg's normally would charge for another box of 4. But you cried so much the manager felt bad for you. The customer service rep was like "wow this dude really didn't think 4 was enough what can we do for him". His boss sent you 2 more pop tarts for free!!
You didn't pay for 6 pop tarts you paid for 4. But the company gave you 2! For free!
Edit: seriously think long and hard about this next part of my post. And if you have never been responsible for an employees family's ability to eat, then try really hard to have some empathy and understanding about how a business is run:
The younger players will never understand how hard it must be to have to feed literally hundreds of families.
Sure the execs and developers might be living nice, but they have skills and work hard and deserve it. Capitalism drives quality products and none of us can imagine how hard it is to balance taking care of your team, while also trying to please your customer base.
Of COURSE they want to charge for things and make money but they also want to please the fan base
Here they threw us a bone. They can't release 5 games worth of shit for the price of 2, because then their budget suffers and the company dissolves and then the crack addicted destiny players won't have anything...
Edit 2:Aprently the pop tart was already eaten and thrown back up again into the shape of a new pop tart

Stopped reading at children. It's pretty obvious that I can't make a point without insulting someone else in the process.
-
It was developed and paid for by the silver currency buyers. Don't kid yourself
-
More of a "oh you wanted all that stuff we advertised? Oh you expected more from microtransaction funding? Oh well fuck you."

12 отв.Изменено (Darches): 3/19/2016 1:59:57 AMVanilla destiny: Cut content, lies, bugs, and THE GRIND. Not worth the price. But hey, it'll get better with DLC, right? Dark Below: Basically shit on a stick. Some redeeming/quality content but not really worth the price. Bungie managed to punish players proportionate to their exotic collection, and make the vanilla gear almost obsolete in just 4 months. House of Wolves: Got everything we paid for, and many things were fixed. Well worth the price. Had my hopes up for the future of Destiny. Convinced me to pre-order the next expansion. The Taken (TM) King: Excellent story missions, good raid, and... Wait where the -blam!- did everything else go? WTF!? If so much content and gear was taken then Bungie needs to return my money for the previous expansions! For me the biggest draw of Destiny is the gunplay and loot chasing but neither are possible if 75% of the guns are unavailable. And I don't count blues! Overall Destiny has run me $140 yet the current weapon pool is abysmal, the raid gear is almost all trash, reforging is gone, the RNG is still bullshit, and the "smart loot" isn't even noticable. Also, infusion is just a terrible and obvious system to stretch out a grind that serves no purpose other than to make me bored. I'd say we DIDN'T get what we paid for, therefore it only makes sense that Bungie returns what was Taken (TM). I don't even care about the new stuff (funded by Eververse), but they seriously need to return our shit or give refunds. Even more shit was Taken (TM) if you didn't buy the expansion. You lost access to critical features like Trials of Osiris that you already paid for! And it's still be advertised on the HoW site like a big fat lie! Absolute bullshit. We paying players have the right to be angry about this stuff.

5 отв.Изменено (swampNinja20): 3/19/2016 4:00:31 PMTechnically no. There are still 9 more TTK exotic armour pieces that we never received. So this is part for the TTK . Either that or Bungie is liable for false advertising. You paid for 6 pop tarts but the box was missing 2...and now the store is giving you the 2 that were missing from what was advertised on the box.
-
It's a season pass Long post is unnecessary
-
Did you pay for ttk? Then it's free. If you didn't, then it isn't. Ergo, you already paid for the update. #gitgud

14 отв.You're naive enough to believe the company that sold an instant level item (spark of light) for 29.99 will give you a whole -blam!-ing DLC for free yet you have the audacity to call those who disagree children? Life must really be a bundle of joy to you. Bet you still believe wrestling is real
-
You're an idiot that analogy was horrible.
-
It's called false advertisement. They said they were going to give you 8 pop tarts, in the case of destiny you only got 2, and you paid extra for the other 4, they gave you 2 for "free"
-
2 отв.Analogy: you paid for an item on ebay. The seller never ships it. You paid for something you never received.

2 отв.Your analogy gave me cancer.

Or.... You see an ad for this new really awesome 6 pack and think..man I gotta have that. It's coming soon so you preorder and wait for your 6 pack glory. On arrival day you rush to open the pack and see...4 tarts?!?!? You question it...wait?...the ad said new 6 pack WTF?. They later tell you they were only able to launch 4 at that time but later you will be able to purchase the others in some great new 1-pack add-ons for another $20.
In all seriousness...the bad feelings are just residual resentment for the Y1 cut content methods. The update is, in my mind true free content because it was never planned or promised. I will be happy with whatever they provide as along as it's free.
7 отв.How about this. I paid for a dlc where I was told about (x) amount of exotics I could get.. Only to be told I can't get them unless I wait months after my initial payment because they're time gated? When I buy a hamburger at a restaurant, I expect it to come on a bun of some sort.. Imagine ordering said hamburger and them telling you, we'll send it to you in the mail in 4 months time.
-
3 отв.Let me give you an analogy. Go -blam!- yourself
-
What dlc, All i see is an update Its just a prank bro
-
1 ответThis is as true as it gets but the entitled will never accept it. Instead of maybe thinkn about it and opening their minds and changing their views..... They'll come here and call you names and whine and cry and argue with you. Good post though! BUMP!
-
2 отв.Изменено (Zjura): 3/19/2016 4:01:05 PMNot really. I'm assuming that's what the microtransactions were for, otherwise why would they be there. It was either Bungie created it as a means of producing "free DLC" or they were milking their costumers for all they're worth. Nothing is truly free, it's coming out of someones pockets. Edit: It's also not DLC, it's an update, like a patch, it's already included in TTK. The reason it's free is because it's a part of the TTK DLC.
-
This. No one here will put that in their mind.

2 отв.All you fággot bítches crying about new shit. All you fággot slúts still on Destiny. Jump on Division or jump on these nuts.
-
1 ответAre you trying to get a job at bungie? this post is as pathetic as most of the weekly updates.
-
I think if you really wanna argue massive free content patches, you might look at how square treats its final fantasy 14 player base.
-
2 отв.First of all terrible analogy, I think this one is better. You see a poster that says buy one get one free so you get two and instead of getting one free they bust your kneecaps give you one shred of one of the items and steals your wallet and everything you own then spits in your face and kicks you repeatedly. How did I do?
-
1 ответIts crowd sourced micro's paid for this now let this sink in f2p mmo's put out 100x more content in their updates with no b2p option
-
1 ответIt's like having to own GTA V to actually get the updates. Or owning Witcher 3. Pretty much anything in Destiny worth doing requires owning TTK. If you don't own TTK, why are you even playing?
