To people that still don't understand the reason for this I will try to make it simple for you. Crucible is "competitive multiplayer" (that is the description) if it is really competitive multiplayer their should be ranked playlist in crucible. and rewards for achieving higher ranks AKA rewarding your skill so theirs an actual reason to try hard in crucible. At this moment I don't care for my stats because normal players don't just search people's names up to look at people's stats. Theirs no goal your reaching when your playing crucible unless it's bounties and those are damn near useless. Putting a Ranked Playlist would give players a reason to keep playing crucible instead of stopping after you finished your bounties and theirs nothing else to do.

You do realize the very nature of the haphazard lag makes this pointless

Yeah but I'm sure bungie will fix it soon

Welcome to the world of 99% of PvE players. Also, it's a game dude. Unless you are getting paid real money to win in organized tournaments, it's not truly competitive.

It can be though, just the fact of your rank being on the line every game will make competitive players try harder in a ranked game mode. If you played halo 3 and got 45+ in any of those ranked game modes you'll know exactly what I'm talking about.
