Players who have a bad connection, a lot of latency and/or a lot of packet loss should be put in matches with people like them.
Players with a good internet should not be punished because some people decide play on wi-fi or dial-up. We pay to have a good experience, we shouldn't be punished because some people are cheap.
This is basically the same idea as putting cheaters in lobbies to fight each other instead of upright banning them.
What do you guys think?

Not gonna lie. For some reason I have been red bar this week and I can't figure out why. When it works to my advantage I actually feel guilty. It's making me not really try to win.
-
You realize it's not necessarily their internet, sometimes it's when the game tries to match you up outside the area you live (which may include many states, cities,etc.. ) if the game had region based matchmaking that took priority for connections the red bar in crucible would be a whole lot less!!
-
Orrrrr maybe people have a hard time affording amazing wifi. I have a pretty decent one but even the best can still red bar
-
Signed. Serial quitters, too.
-
People caught hacking in titanfall weren't banned. They were all just put into a server with each other. Not a bad idea.
-
Yes. I want matchmaking to do 2 things. Look at connection strength and premade size. I could care less about anything else.
-
THANK YOU GOD THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING
-
Yea. They should matchmake only based off connection and region. Tired of playing people from Mexico who are teleporting around the map all game.
-
Agreed. And realistically having good internet almost puts us at a disadvantage with the new matchmaking system. Before TTK one out of every 5 or 6 matches for me would have a few laggy people. Now it's almost every match and they definitely take advantage of it. I've seen straight red bar people teleporting and killing people through walls. I enjoy PVP whether I do good or bad. However I would enjoy it much more if I didn't shoot at some players who basically activated time traveling God Mode.

-
It would break the game
-
People with good connections should get paired with all bad connections. Only this will solve the problem.
-
Make it like Titanfall's system.
-
P2P connection is still ass tho...I agree with what you're saying but dedicated servers would solve many issues...
-
-
Yall are idiots. Stop complaining and whining and play the freaking game. The game is full of ppl with bad service yet i still whip them. Just have fun thats what a video game is all abt
-
Bad connections that happen only during pvp aren't bad connections. They're cheating with lag switches. Bungie really needs to address this by either placing more weight on p2p reporting or data mining to see who the offenders are (not tech savvy enough to know if this is even possible)
-
No Peer to peer torrenting though? Just so uncool dude. And we thought you where cool and all that.
-
Meanwhile I'm torrenting movies, while gaming online, streaming music to my ps4, and streaming my tv shows to my laptop... Always a green bar until the game decides to give the asshat in Sweden using potato for Internet host.

Изменено (Fibby): 1/2/2016 1:20:27 PMEach lobby has a different host, and each player has a different ping to each host, so a player that's lagging in one lobby might not be lagging in the next. The game has really poor matchmaking and it's not that uncommon that you get matched out of your region, which results in lots of lag. See the problem here ? There are plenty of players out there with truly shitty connections but you as a player can't really tell the difference from a player who is just matched out of of their region. The one thing they could do is put the players who have been consistently reported for having a bad connection in a separate player pool where they could only be matched with each other, but it should only be temporary since a player can upgrade/fix their connection and it wouldn't really be fair to be stuck in such a matchmaking pool forever. This game needs massive improvement for it's matchmaking, they should ignore things like skill level (stats) and go for the best possible connection.

Destiny has weird connection issues sometimes so it may not necessarily be cheap internet that's the problem. I have a 100 mg download with a wired connection and even I'm red barred sometimes.

I just got hit so hard with a rocket it booted me

*sigh* Why do you guys have to make posts like these every single day We have a plethora of similar posts already Just go and bump those No need to make new posts for the same thing every single day -__-

I have terrible internet, but I'm not cheap.I live in a neighborhood that signed a contract with a company to provide us service. They agreed to fix the problems we have, but have never came to help us. And this is my entire community. I can't connect to someone's game who lives within a mile radius. I'm never ref bar, but I move between yellow and green.
