New Players Buying Their Way to Level 25 Affects Me Because...
I'm legitimately interested in how people would finish this sentence. So go ahead, give it your best shot.
The reality is that a new player skipping the early levels has exactly zero effect on your experience. Happy to be proven wrong on that but seriously doubt I will be.
Edit: Not surprisingly no one has been able to finish the sentence in a coherent way. At least in negative terms. A couple people have pointed out that it might affect them in a positive way. The Negative Nellies have two broad responses, both of which fail.
The question is how does THIS ITEM effect YOU.
All the Negative Nellies either say:
1. This item doesn't effect me but AN IMAGINARY FUTURE ITEM will effect ME. (Fail for introducing an imaginary item).
2. THIS ITEM doesn't effect me but it effects AN IMAGINARY PERSON. (Fail for introducing an imaginary person).
They really can't come up with a way that THIS ITEM effect THEM.

3. Because I leveled up the normal way THIS ITEM makes ME feel betrayed.
I guess it gets points for playing by the rules but it's just so sad. It's just too pathetic to actually merit a response.
Last Edit: It's nice that this got trending and that so many people appreciate that yeah, the buff has no effect on existing player. The sheer number of people unable to actually articulate a problem but just whining anyway is a bit depressing but what can you do?

This is where grimoire comes into play. Those saying that grimoire doesn't show experience or skill will be looking at grimoire. If you have less that 2500 I KNOW I'm going to have to slow down and explain things.

(Existing example...how many level 40s, 300+ light have you come across that have NO IDEA how to defeat Thalnok? It's embarrassing...) But then again, I can always look at grimoire score to get a vague idea of how experienced someone is, so yeah...hahahaha. OP, I hope you are deliberately missing the point of all the backlash, and just trolling. If not....just another nuthugging fool.

This item effects me because It exists, and I have to use valuable memory cells on this useless item that could be doesn't on something important OR Because it sets a pricing precedent that bungie is testing the waters to see if it works, and may possibly allow the same type of thing in destiny 2, but that's speculation so if that does/doesn't happen, this item in particular still doesn't effect destiny 1 players. [spoiler]hopefully you guys get the first response is a joke lol, I don't even have ttk, but if it was cheaper ($5 or so) I might but a couple just so I can remake my character a female, with different hair/tatoo,unneeded of they would just make a character feature kiosk allowing appearance changes like in borderlands[/spoiler]

I don't care per se. But, why would anyone do this? Is Bungie completely trashing the experience of leveling up a character, which side steps the story line completely? Is destiny going to go completely dominated by PvP? It sure seems so... why is PvE so obviously being short changed by Bungie? Don't misunderstand, play both PvP and PvE although I was mostly PvE for a months until I established some basic PvP skills, which not easy for a guy closer to retirement than I want to say (LOL). Getting trashed in PvP by 10 year olds... was an experience until my PvP skills improved.

Because revenue sources such boosters, FoL, and SRL have replaced, and are being provided instead of, our getting any year 2 DLCs. If Bungievision were not achieving its revenue objectives through these alternative means, they would be providing us with Destiny FPS DLCs; that's how it affects us all, but people just can see that...

IT affects me because all such optional purchases pay for new Content. the amount of guardians in all match/encounter types will rise, but the skill level will drop. the number of people I can help increases significantly.

It affects me by giving me free events It shouldn't matter if someone wants to pay more than the first two DLC (not combined) on something they can do in 6 hours, people don't have the time and want to cut to the chase. At the end of the day it's their life so let them be them and you do you. (This is towards the r*tarded commentators)

We're consumers, and we have a right to be concerned about the future of this industry.
