Well this just happened to me today. I was in a rush for amo, so I didn't pick up guns using the not now option and now that I'm ready to make my selection, it won't let me.
Edit : took the advice of deleting the primary gun I ordered before picking up my orders to see if that would unlock my guns from last week's purchase. It did nothing for me, my guns still locked and now I'm out my hard to come by glimmer! Really sucks I had good options this week and I now have to waste 3 primary slots again for a week because I can't put them in the vault!
Edit 2: 1 of my weapons had an "x" option on it, I pushed "x" and now it's gone, nowhere to be found.

I can't edit my post anymore but I'm sorry for what happened to you. It's disappointing that Bungie never came back to even acknowledge some kind of follow up. My solution was to wait til the next week. It stunk because I had 4 slots taken by orders but I didn't want to delete my new orders to unlock my old one. The next week all orders we're available for pick up. Didn't realize the posts would cause people to try to delete their orders. That one guy did but I didn't.

The solution is there in their response. If you get new orders before you turn in your old ones, the old ones will lock for another week. Simply turn in all your orders first before ordering any new ones and you won't have this problem.

Yes, you're right and we're all aware of that now. The question was for people who didn't know this and had already placed new orders. Was there a solution for them instead of deleting the new orders and wasting glimmer.
