I'm absolutely tired of people who use glitches/exploits and try to defend themselves afterwards saying "It's part of the game, I won't get banned." PEOPLE(Bungie especially) - why should people be able to justify ruining other players gaming experience just because the glitch was unintentionally put into a game?
So while permenantly banning these people would be too extreme, I say that TEMPORARY bans should be given to those who exploit glitches that negatively impact other players. The bans should go like this:
1st *Offense: 1 hour **matchmaking ban
2nd: Double that
3rd: Double
4th: Double
5th: Bump it up to 12 hours
6th: A full day
7+: A full day
*By this I mean if they consecutively(back-to-back) exploit glitches

**Does not include activities where you have to LFG for players(nightfall, raid etc.)
This doesn't have to be for all the players who have already abused glitches. I just want this to be implemented for future use(for future glitches that will be exploited).
Come on Cozmo and DeeJ! Give us some sort of acknowledgement that you are at least trying to find a viable way to punish those who abuse glitches and mess up the game for everyone!
And a quote from someone in the community(in response to someone defending the Shadowshot glitch):

You sound like many of the people I have represented in criminal cases over the last 15 years... If you have to ask (and are being serious), then you won't get it no matter what rational explanation you are given. Some things are inherently wrong by their very nature - if you find yourself defending your behavior and rationalizing it under the pretense of legality, maybe you need to reevaluate the moral/ethical foundations for your behavior.
The infinite shadowshot gives you an unfair advantage not contemplated by the game. It occurred because of a glitch - and just like any depraved person, you believed yourself justified in taking advantage of it. Fair play is fair play man. We have to keep writing laws IRL because of people like you, who force us to legislate behavior that should be obviously aberrant. I'll give you the same advice I give some of my clients - grow up. You'll be much happier and people around you will respect you more.
Double standard much? Edit: I do agree that exploiting and cheating in pvp is not good for the game, but I also believe that exploiting in pve is also not good. Either gitgudskrub or go play something that doesn't involve a challenge to have a chance at the best gear in the game. Because you don't deserve it.

1 ответAwkward moment when it is ban-able and you just made a post complaining about it not being so.
-
-
4 отв.I agree. It would severely cut down on abuse when another is found if they knew there'd be consequences. I never abused this in pvp because I have gaming morality, but it was fun in pve for sure. That doesn't hurt anyone though. Pve glitching shouldn't count for the proposed bans.
-
1 ответThere is no rule book for destiny to specify how it should be played so when these glitches and exploits come about who is to say it was not a feature.. If it's programmed into the game you cannot ban people for using it.
-
I agree, if player "420hunterzrulswag" averages 4 super kills a game, but suddenly gets 15-20 then that player should be restricted from crucible. It shouldn't be too hard at all to find the worst quiver abusers so they should be found and punished.
-
1 ответThe 'what do you remember from year two' is going to be entirely shadowshot meta
-
3 отв.You can't ban people even temporarily for glitches discovered in the game. If people are getting banned for discovering glitches people will stop searching. If people stop searching these broken parts of the game will stay broken. We can not have that.
-
2 отв.It isnt cheating its abusing an expolit dumbass
-
23 отв.I don't think the glitch was an advantage. The extended tether with linked damage was way better. If you pvp you are basically asking to be shot so I don't feel bad for you if some scrub used a glitch.
-
1 ответSo you want exploits just not any that get in your way? Only if they benefit you
-
7 отв.Considering it has been patched, why are you still bitching about it?
-
How do you police it?
-
4 отв.Aren't some exploits due to poor perk design/combinations on Bungie's part? I think that's more of a case for Bungie rapidly issuing a hotfix rather than a case of banning people who use it.
-
Изменено (Braun700): 10/21/2015 9:45:15 PMYour point is flawed. Whether the glitch or exploit was in the program on purpose, someone simply finding it and using it does not break the user agreement with Bungie. So there is no cause for a ban.
-
2 отв.I agree with you. I am curious how do you feel about the pve folks boosting for exotic quests? I just posted that I don't care about that but do care about the glitching.
-
I hope you're the guy that raged after using my super as a primary weapon in crucible.
git gud fgt
-
38 отв.Titans and warlocks had glitches now it's hunters time to shine fuck off please you are toxic and adopted
-
Its a game. Let people have their fun. This type of glitch will never happen again for shadowshot. Just grow up, and deal with it.
-
2 отв.Op must be new to playing video games.
-
18 отв.Well. The glitch doesn't work anymore. And who was banned for loot cave exploit? Or ToC exploit? Or crota exploit? No one.
no one will be punished. Sorry
-
2 отв.Such salt.. much butthurt. Does op not understand that this is a game, and there will always be people that will use an exploit if they have fun doing it?
-
5 отв.Then use the glitch yourself if your so fed up
-
3 отв.Изменено (The Art of Vore): 10/21/2015 8:38:07 PMNo, anyone who openly admits to using the shadow shot glitch in PvP should be banned from PvP until the glitch is fixed. It should be automatic, if you've fired over 15 shadow shots, it should warn you and if this person was reported for cheating in the same game they should be banned. However, if no one reports you and you've fired over 20, you will be automatically banned. (Name one game you've ever had that you had over six supercharges.) This, if you ask me, is fair.
-
2 отв.Let's ban bungie for deceiving us from the start and taking a year to fulfil their promise by charging us double
-
5 отв.Just ban all the people who use farming and ToC glitches and be done with it. People can't earn their gear like real players, then they don't need to play or have that gear. Ban 'em or take their shit. Either or.
