So I've now ran the raid 3 times (plus a 4th, but I was just sherpa-ing so, no drops). 2 of those times, I had 20+ moldering shards, and all three times I've received 1 item from Oryx. The item description clearly says "you WILL be granted extra rewards when defeating Oryx..." The first time, the gear was obviously higher than what I had. The next 2 times both gave me items 8+ points lower than my currently equipped gear in those slots. WTF?!? Plus, you don't even have the option to NOT use the shards, so it's not like I can just save them up for when Bungie fixes this obvious issue. People who have the time to level up 3 characters can get tons of raid gear and weapons, but I only have the one for now and slowly working on another. But man, I thought if I took the time to seek out the chests and got the 20 shards I'd be rewarded with this extra rewards and...nope. Again, I love destiny, I play several hours every day and can't remember the last day I haven't played so I'm really not hating on it. But this seems like an RNG issue that should be hot patched asap. EDIT: So, i just listened to this weeks planetdestiny.com podcast and Luke Smith was on it. It seems like small stuff like ammo synth, shards and what not are in Oryxs loot table so getting more rewards, even though it was meant as more 'substantial' rewards, is including those things we don't really want. but it also doesn't seem like he knew about it being such an issue of people simply getting one item (such as I have twice now) or even 2 of the same items, so maybe now that they brought it up to him it'll get looked into.
