XB1 Looking for Friends
I am an active player who is on almost every day. I main a Hunter at 292 light, with a Warlock and Titan not too far behind that. I'm somewhere between casual and hardcore, whatever that means, but in all seriousness, I only ever seem to notice one thing: Everyone just wants to raid, and doesn't want anything to do with you if you aren't about that raid lifestyle.
I do my dailies. I hang out in Crucible, I will attempt a raid with randoms, (and then be kicked for dying.) I understand the mechanics of the game and have been around since release. I understand roles for each class. I watch videos.
Originally, I was going to make a post about looking for players to raid with, but that is so common here, and I don't see enough friendly people making posts. I have never completed VoG, Skolas, or King's Fall because players will kick after one little mistake or expect you to have a light lvl that can only be feasible thru doing the new raid. To be fair though, most of these people were often younger than me and only seeking "perfect" raid players who I'm assuming, have never wiped on any raid ever. There's a bit of sarcasm there.
I take this game seriously, and at the same time, I don't. I do have [very few] friends that I get on with, but they are not very active and choose many other titles over Destiny. Most of the time, I do not like adding randoms just for the purpose of getting a raid team together. I would rather get to know the players in the community, or on my team, before we tackle tougher projects like raids. I don't know... If there are players who want to help me out, or perhaps you are just looking for a new Destiny bud, I'm open to any messages or invites. GT is PV XxRedHazexX
I just want to have fun with this game, and with so many raid-focused players, this can't be accomplished. I would like to try raids in the near future, but without many friends, I guess I'm sticking to my dailies and a little bit of Crucible.
Oh, and I can be shy at first. Ignore that. Once you get to know me, I'll be cracking jokes with you in no time.

I'm in the same boat here, all my OG friends have disappeared making the new DLC difficult to progress/enjoy. I'm on most days and late night. I want to go for the new raid once I get my light up a bit more, but along the same lines I would rather do it with some buddies that all know each other vs randys (just more fun).
