Thanks for sharing your ideas on how to keep improving strikes. I found Shield Brothers to be a huge evolution in how strikes bosses are fought. It's a really fun strike. All of the new strikes have their own added mechanics to change things up. Can't wait until you get to play them!

Ratchet and clank did this in the arena on the ps2 now that i think about it. 2 bosses, 1 challenge, extra ads... bungie is 10 or so years late on this one.

Yea cool story cozmo now where is MAP ROTATION IN TRIALS? When its active again if we still have one map per week i swear that'll be the last straw

Cosmo, I didn't think you were a real person - just an artificial name they tossed out to molify the rioting masses... Now stop fooling around and answer the rioting masses questions! I saw them carrying pitchforks and torches. Poor abused veteran players (me included, I have both a pitchfork and torch).

Deejbot 2.0 had spoken, all hail deejbot 2.0. Take away: "Nice feedback, here's my feedback on your feedback." Gee thanks cozmo how do you like my feedback of your feedback of his feedback. Don't mind me I'm just embittered and tired.

Yes, two weaker bosses that operate in 4 phases is different than 1 strong boss that operates over 4 phases. Oh, wait, no it isn't. We still have to deal out the same amount of damage. The only difference is by spreading over 2 bosses it artificially extends the time it takes to defeat them since 4 guardians will no longer be able to concentrate all their fire on a single target without being decimated by the other. You could have just added more hit points and accomplished the same exact thing. Shield Brothers still looked as vanilla as every other strike, except for Omnigul which is the worst designed strike boss encounter in the whole game. Thanks for giving us more of the same. Sols, your ideas for changing boss fights are exactly what this game is in need of.

Once again you answered/commented on one of Sols posts. Can I get an answer for my question or have I been muted?

I second that Bump.

Bump for an answer for LZ

I get the feeling the devs are leaving vanilla dead in the water....
-
Are they going to be updating the boss fights in the old strikes for TTK?
-
Yes. Enemies and places now are gone to be random...
-
-
There are multiple spawn on all maps, these will now be random and enemies too (kind of enemies). This is only to spawn, "defaults" enemies remain as they are.
-
whats the point about question if you dont gonna believe what they tell you???
-
Looking forward to fighting the shield bros!

i think it would be really cool if they made a strike boss where you have to use a lot of the environment to kill the boss, kind of like the lizard like boss in shadow of the colossus. you shoot the boss from a certain point in a massive colussium, then the boss climbs to that area to spray poisonous gas and in that time you would have to run to the other side to shoot a certain area on his back or something, i just really liked that boss in shadow of the colossus

I'm really looking forward to the "court of oryx" reveal - the new public event. The boss fights sound quite interesting like the ogre being immune to weapon damage - instead you have to lure him close to thralls which damage him with their explosion. Or the two knights with their shields being removed only when they are close to each other. Or the three wizards you have to kill simultaneously otherwise they respawn the ones which are already dead. Sounds to me like some team effort is needed.

All of those mechanics you just named sound half assed, lazy and luck driven. When luck becomes a game mechanism, the game ceases to be fun and becomes aggravating and tedious. Since Destiny is already tedious, and sometimes aggravating, it seems like Bungie is once again using old, tired out methods, and not really giving us anything new. Yawn.
