When you were a n00b in Destiny...
What were some things you though or did when everyone was new to this game and things were still being discovered? For example, early on in the game I literally used to think that at the end of Crucy matches or strikes, a random engram would pop up and if you got it in time, it would say that you "found" the reward it in the notifications. So at the end of matches I would sometimes look around for engrams or something to pick up. *faceplams* Wasn't until I got my first legendary drop that I realized this wasn't the case.
So what about you guys?

For the first few months the game was out I would run around patrol grabbing all the ammo and engrams as fast as I could so other guardians wouldn't get them first...

When I started in destiny, I knew my friend had 2 of a really good gun (husk of the pit). And I knew that he got them from "Blades of Crota". So I literally patrolled earth all the time killing all of the blades that I could find and doing nothing else. And then getting the sword and only using it to glide.

After doing the Devils lair and the moon strike, I found chests at the end of each. I assumed these were rewards for killing the final boss. After every strike forward I would frantically look for a chest as the timer counted down.

When I first started getting to endgame content I had to look up "cheesing" to figure out what it meant.

I also wondered where the Hell these people were finding their Crucible drops... used to drive me nuts!

Me and my raid group thought if we got to that portal in vog right before atheon that it would open up and take us to candy mountain ... after 10 minutes we found out it only had the ability to take you to disappointment. Then atheon beat us like red headed step children. Good times good times

I thought if I didn't pick up engrams quick enough they would despawn...and after I learnt they didn't despawn, I thought not picking them would mean I wouldn't be able to get it (from the postmaster).

Vog took forever and was fun

Spending an hour trying to beat atheon second week of VOG, then backing out and dying 76 times before pushing him off, and getting the helm..

Being on the Cosmodrome at level 2 and seeing someone produce orbs of light only for me not to have a clue what just happened and when I walked over them, why doesnt anything happen? Only to realise once I got to level 4 that I unlocked the super myself. When I started playing with my friend a few days after I got the game, asking him why he doesn't get this green ammo over here. Or this purple ammo over there. He then explains he can't see the ammo I can. xD The best one, when shooting an enemy with a shield and asking my friend "WHY DOES IT ALWAYS SAY IMMUNE!? CAN'T I DAMAGE IT???" "It's got a shield you noob" said my friend. "Oh..." We laugh about it even today.
