Anyone want to trade for a ghallarhorn? Oh wait.

Bungie. you know by now what some people want, me included. Some want in-game trading or at least a website in which we can trade within our clan. I know there's the issue with people making deals with money or selling them on ebay, which you do not want to be responsible for if something happens, but there has to be a way to restrict those sites from yourself or cut ties with anything outside your website, app, or forums. I know trading would be time consuming to develop but it would be worth the reaction and good word a lot of people will be giving you. Any of you out there who agree with this, leave a comment saying so or any other ideas you have for it. Just make sure that they make sense. Any of you who don't have anything good to say, pack your shit and leave.
I'll see you out in the fields, Guardians. And you Shitheads.
• I will start by saying no. As nice as it would be to give my spare Gally to my friend who is the only one in our clan without it, it would just cause problems for the game as a whole. As I write this, one issue I feel has never been mentioned is related to breaking the game economy. Real world trading for items would occur. I know this isn't "new", but bear with me. Being in a clan would net a bigger loot pool while soloing for mad hoarding. Adding trading by any means, would bring forth Virtual Guild banks, or for others, dummy vaults. At least on PS4, don't know it works on XBOX. But as long as you have PS+ on your console, any subsequent accounts you make will be treated as having PS+ and therefore can play the game. That being said, those same accounts could be accessed via anyone who has the appropriate sign in credentials. So, what does this mean. All those "spare" exotics, legendaries, trials weapons, iron banner gear etc would no longer need to be earned in game as the overflow of them would simply just be placed into overdraft. Now, for those who genuinely want to help teammates or clan mates this isn't so bad. But the drive to get better and EARN stuff for yourself is already diminished. Why should I need to do X if my friend is better at X and can get it for me. The ugly side to these dummy accounts, and probably the most dubious uses. Would be for players who don't care about the rules, cheating etc. Take Lag Switchers in Trials for example. They make peoples lives hell then reap the rewards. Players who lost to them submit report and lets say Bungie actually bans them. Well, this is all good. Bungie did their job. However, this usually takes a couple days of work. Chances are, if these dummy vaults were allowed, that gear has already been transferred and now those same Lag switchers can just start over again scott free with all their ill gotten gains. There we have it. Loot laundering in Destiny - now a thing. Maybe this seems a bit extreme. Like who would go to such lengths. But you know what. They would. You know they would. Heck, when the game started you used to be able to buy 3 strange coins from Xur, and people were deleting and making new toons to abuse it. At the end of the day, trading is just going to cause A LOT of headaches. Once again, I'd love to help my friend out and give him my spare gear. But I can't. So you know what I'll do instead?I'll help him or her. I'll play the game. Have some laughs. Have fun together.
