Meanwhile I see feminists constantly praising polyamory as the solution to all our problems. Talk about a double standard. It's quite simple, really. You treat each other fairly. If a man doesn't want his wife sleeping around then he should not sleep around either. If a woman wants to sleep around then she should not condemn her husband for doing the same thing. You are either consistent with your fairness or you are unfair. There is no way to get around it, and labeling monogamy as "patriarchal tyranny" while simultaneously trying to justify polyamory via the most pathetic mental gymnastics possible just makes things more confusing than they need to be. Furthermore, I never understood the feminist critique of monogamy. If anything, I would say it is more beneficial toward women than it is men. It ensures that older women are taken care of whereas many men may otherwise be tempted to neglect them for new and younger women, which has historically been the case in non-monogamous societies.
