Possible fixes for the existing Endgame

Hi there Guardians, I am Overseer Mirak of Wastelanders United a small clan in the PlayStation family. Like most of you I've been playing Destiny since launch and really enjoy the game. But just because you like something doesn't mean your have to ignore it's flaws. It's no secret that Destiny's endgame is woefully lacking, even with all of the new activities from House of Wolves. There's not a lot to do. Judgement rep is slow, the factions offer no really reward, and the Vanguard are 3 leaders standing around a table. I am not here to complain however. I'd like to offer a few suggestions and if you all agree with any of them, maybe point Bungie to this article and hopefully they could be addressed. So here we go... 1. Crafting Weapons and Armor - At one point or another, everyone has made something with there own hands. Be it a raft made of popsicle sticks or a cosplay outfit. Every Guardian it sitting on a mountain of weapon parts and various armor materials, as well as the 4 gathered materials presently available. This system would allow for Guardians to carry a "toolbox" that holds the aforementioned materials and a list of schematics, based on the various parts of a weapons system or armor structure. That Guardian would then choose the part, tied to specific or multiple weapon/armor types and, with the necessary materials, make said part. Acquiring schematics could happen in a few ways, one of which being opening chests. Schematics would be permanent, unless Exotic, which would be single use or 1/week. 2. Faction Diversity - As it stands, right now, the factions (Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, New Monarchy, Crucible, and Vanguard), are special currency shops, highly valued at launch and largely ignored as time goes on. I suggest giving each a specialty that plays on their philosophy. Future War Cult could offer rare weapon parts, schematics and weapon telemetrics. New Monarchy could offer class items(since they're going to have stats soon), armor parts and schematics. Dead Orbit could offer ships, upgraded/variant sparrows, possibly revival boosts. Crucible and Iron Banner could offer enhanced PvP weapons and armor, timed boosts and tiered matches w/rankings. And the 3 Vanguard masters could offer subclass customization, providing quest that would allow Guardians to unlock new skills and abilities. 3. Race specific Quest lines - Many Awoken wonder why they are looked at as outcasts in the reef. Exos often wonder, what makes them different from ordinary robots. Offering them these quest would answer those questions and possibly provide gear or unique opportunities upon completion. Giving more weight to the phase, "It's an Awoken/Exo thing. You wouldn't understand." An Awoken Guardian could aspire to be a Queens Guard, occasionally receiving missions to hunt fugitives for her highness. Assign a Ranking System to challenge the exist Guard in a 1v1 Elimination style match. An Exo Guardian may wish to find out where his people come from, prompting him to venture into an area too dangerous for organics where Traveler fragments are strewn about and materials are dense. Humans have their structure, they have for millennia, but as they fight the darkness, the lines between classes blend and blur leaning on one another for strength. 4. Player Outpost - With Humanity being the central mass of The Light's forces, expanding our reach is in our nature. Creating small area on the existing and new maps where the vault can be accessed, communication with the tower can be established (for quests), and weapons and armor can be crafted. Would provide a sense that we are in fact, fighting back the Darkness. These zones, once established, could even be the focus of public events. 5. The Cryptarch and the Vault - The Vault is an ongoing point of contention at the Tower. Wondering why we have so few slots in a shared interface. I suggest upping the total Vault space to 200 unique items. Meaning that, in the Vault, materials take up a single slot, regardless of stack size. This would allow for significantly more space when considering the crafting mechanic mentioned earlier. The Cryptarch has been the focus of quite a bit of rage since launch and I would see him serve a larger purpose going forward. Give the Cryptarch a Rank in their faction. This Rank, along with the Rank we Guardians have would increase our chance of acquiring legendary weapons, armor, and schematics from engrams. After a certain Rank, Guardians could decrypt their own engrams but it would incur a cost and not have as high a chance as taking the engram to a Cryptarch rep. And finally, consider increasing the Glimmer cap to 50k and instating a trade system of some sort. Market inflation isn't a concern, as players can only carry so much Glimmer. If crafting and decrypting cost Glimmer, impose a base value derived from the components of the item, to be enabled by default on trades.
