I don't know about the rest of you, but I am completely dumbfounded by the "Shank Burn" perk. It baffles me that this perk is actually in the game.
Why in the world did Bungie think we would need or want our guns to deal slightly more damage to one of the weakest enemies in the game? I suppose it could be slightly helpful on certain guns (although there are plenty of other perks that would be better), but it just doesn't make sense on most guns.
For example, I have a solar shotgun with Shank Burn. Even without Shank Burn, a solar shotgun will always kill a Shank in one shot at the right range, whether the Shank has a shield or not. On a solar shotgun, Shank Burn is a 100% wasted perk slot.
In my opinion, Bungie should remove Shank Burn from all weapons and replace it with something that will actually be useful. Sign here if you agree with me.
Edit: I would be fine with Shank Burn if it were an extra perk like Hive Disruptor was on the Crota weapons, but the fact that it takes up a crucial perk slot is a joke.
Edit 2: Multiple people are already saying that the Fallen weapons should simply have a perk that does extra damage to Fallen Majors, but does not take up a perk slot. I totally agree with this.
Edit 3: I was not aware at the time of posting that there are also Dreg and Vandal burns that can be rolled. We have to get rid of those as well.

1 ответPetition not signed. Reason: Shank burn is like any other specific burn. Each use of it against shanks provides more damage and better elimination of enemies. It's never an issue when you have an open space, lots of room to maneuver, ect. but when it is close quarters like a Fallen Ketch? Shank Burn makes those encounters a lot easier.

2 отв.I agree... The fallen perks are lame and it's awful that they take a perk slot :(. I'm never in a bind in pve and thinking to myself "damn if only these shanks died .05 seconds faster" No I'm more concerned about the 3 stealth ultra dual sword captains sprinting at me :-/. And if yo use HCs or pulse or scout shanks go down in one trigger pull anyway.

1 ответ100% agree that it shouldn't take up a vital perk slot. Add a perk which does more damage to majors, maybe have one for each enemy type for different rounds in PoE? (Exactly like the Hive Disrupter) So we can collect each weapon which we will actually definite from. Then where the existing perk was, add something good, something unique to PoE. Maybe something like after each wave you regen 20% of your ammo. Or after each single enemy kill you gain 1% additional damage which stacks 20 times but each kill needs to be within 2 seconds of each other to gain another stack. Another one could be something like you have a 10% chance after each kill to refill a quarter of the magazine. Just throwing out some ideas.

Bungie must've put that perk in there as some kind of joke. Unless they have some kind of giant Shank boss in the Prison of Elders, that perk is completely useless. A perk that increases damage against Fallen Majors would be much more useful.

1 ответOn any Fallen strike with Epic + Heroic mods on, especially with a burn, Shanks wreck shit. I'm glad there's a perk to ruin them. :)

3 отв.I've only seen it on special and primary weapons atm but they're definitely useful for primary I think. The red health bar is easily destroyed by a shielded or armored shank takes forever to kill and they run in packs of 4 usually.
