I got no problem paying for a product. But we are paying for a product we already payed for. People being ok with shitty tactics that bungie and Activision are pulling is the problem. Sheeple just see shiny turds and flip shit and throw cash to get them. The gaming world is going down the shitter so fast cause people just stand by and accept it as the norm. We got -blam!-ed oh well. They cut content and people ok it. Then they sell it back to you and you're ok with that to.
They make you grind grind and keep grinding. They said our stuff from vog would never be upgraded so we delete it cause we dont have enough space. We delete our guns cause not enough space. Out of no where they tell us now you have space after we delete our shit. And we can upgrade our old armor after you deleted it. Now they will upgrade the old raid to 32 and rake in money off of no work. Now we get to grind for old shit in our "new" content.
They showed us diamonds got our money and gave us a peice of -blam!-ing coal and told us the diamond is in there some where we promise.
Bungie says we love your feedback then they turn off the comment section and say we always check reddit cause we love feedback so much. The fuk you say?
We beg for raid fixes for MONTHS and MONTHS. we finally get them and we still dont get nearly as much fixed as they said they would. When people "exploited" the queens wrath by doing the missions over and over again and dismantling the armor for mats. It was patched in 48 hours. But splash damage heavy ammo glitch and minotaurs being invincible to relics takes 6 to 7 months. But dont worry guys we can wear our helmets in the tower. WE CAN WEAR HELMETS IN THE TOWER...... Seriously why would this be a want of all the things we NEED. there was a team working on this. And a new jukebox near the hangar. Who the butt-blam!- asked for this shit. Yes i know they're seperate teams for separate projects. Cool take retard helmet and juke box team and put them on raid fixes team. Even if its only 2 interns take those 2 interns make them do shit that matters to speed it up.
But fanboys are fukin relentless there is no talking to them. If you dont fully love what they die for then you should just leave. They like the quantity of hours not the quality. Bungie fuked you all out of a great game for 35 extra dollars. And you thanked them...
Thats bungie screwing us in the ass and all fanboys say just be thankful bungle decided to screw us. They don't owe you anything. YES! YES THEY DO! a company is nothing with out customers thats what we are and next time i am taking my business else where.
Just stop looking at the shiny old stuff and look theres not really much new to this "new" content. Just the old repolished and 1 new activity and a social space that has been basically done since e3 2013.
Gamers as a whole should hold these companies to higher standards. Quit accepting mediocrity as normal. Even when i do take my business elsewhere the next company might see what bungie is doing and say look we dont even have to try they cut content and then resold it lied got away with it. Why dont we do that.
Gaming companies in general see they dont have to work as hard anymore from preorder numbers. They can sit back and say well we already sold x amount of copies so we can cut this out. Finish this later who cares we got the money already. They have no reason to stride anymore. They have no hunger to earn that money cause they got it months before the game hit shelves. Stop preorders, gamestop will have a copy. Stop accepting half the content for full content price.
Call me self entitled idc. I didnt write this thinking i would win everyone over. Its impossible to change a fanboys mind but if we can change one mind into at least thinking about it then thats a win. Or you can sit back and watch the video game industry crash like it did before.

While I can see the point you are making and do agree on a lot of things you've said,I would say shitty practices we see from developers these days is more of a case of modern day big business rule books and is not exclusive to video games at all. That doesn't mean it's right and just but that's just how shit is. Video games cost a lot of money to make, AAA ones do anyway, and in return they want to make a lot of money or they can't appease share holders and secure funding for more games. They will achieve this any way possible. Movie studios spend millions on making a turd movie, they jip us with spectacular trailers and eat our money in exactly the same way. But u know what, millions of people would return to the cinema the next yr or maybe even the next month for the next MUST SEE blockbuster. People r stupid. And companies will take advantage of it. In terms of video games becoming massively popular now I definitely think the quality is being diluted. A reaction to this has been the indie games scene. It is huge and it aims to do away with these shoddy practices and try get back to basics. The reality is AAA games r now like movies in that originality suffers because all that investment money demands performance, which generally means true quality and brilliance can be overlooked in favour of more the same. More sequels. Etc. Yes we r getting milked of our money in more ways than ever now. But at the same time we have more options than ever to choose what kind of game is for us, people need to be more careful with pre ordering and wait to see what stuff is like first. We can only blame ourselves, because a video game company is there to make money like any other company. Sometimes people get a little naive in thinking video game companies should adhere to some special code whereby the consumer is never unhappy. Of course this would be nice but all sorts of companies -blam!- us over everyday. As for video games crashing, no that's not happening now. This isn't the eighties where they make a terrible game like e.t. without pre orders and have to discard 2 million copies. We're beyond that now.

Well said.
-
It's all about the marketing. The gaming industry is in high demand, therefore they know the consumer will pay more for their product, so they chop it up and slowly feed it to us. The only real way to protest would be to stop buying their products. However, I don't really mind paying for the dlc, but that's my opinion

5 отв.you know you are right about one thing, gaming is going down fast, but t's not because of destiny..it IS because of "sheeple" continuously buying every year games (like Cod) and making a constant complaining about release dates. Buying games every year just because of the title basically just shows the company they don't really have to try, you'll buy it anyway, and games that ARE good, start getting pressured to keep up with the every years so they end up with less development time, and less of a testing budget, you get your game, but at the cost of being "unfinished" and VERY buggy (assassins creed and Watchdogs were some of the biggest) If you want better quality games, Don't buy into marketing, Don't buy Callofbrofest4hardlineghost just because you like series, test it, then buy it if it's good, Don't complain about release dates, if it gets pushed back, good...more time to work on it...MAYBE we'll be also to reverse whats been happening for the past few years...when yeah we had to wait 3-4 years for a X2 X3 but they were good...not this X'2 out next summer X3 out next winter... Basically need a gamer strike of sorts, let companies know we wont settle for half-assed anymore, and tell them to give their developers more time to create.

2 отв.I didn't preorder Destiny, I knew exactly what I was buying. So i'll give them 20 bucks because I want to play, simple. I only preorder games from Bioware, Rockstar and Bethesda, because they rarely fail in living up to the hype. I understand where your coming from, but we live in a capitalistic world, making easy money is a standard business practice. You can't point fingers and claim ill practices by Bungie for lack of common sense. We as consumers made this a multi-billion dollar industry, not Bungie.
-
2 отв.Can't fight capitalism. If your suggesting a boycott or something good luck. I think many people including myself bought season pass so what's done is done. Sure raid would have been nice but I can assure posts like yours are nothing but a space to vent. So go ahead my friend get it all out cause you can kick and scream and throw temper-tantrum (not sure if that's how you spell that and too lazy to look up), but in the end you will either buy or you won't and they are banking on more than enough buying it.

1 ответYou said what I think. We're essentially getting 1 new strike. And 3 missions we'll have to grind over and over again. The lack of content in Destiny is a joke. The constant 180's on policy so we delete weapons and armour is a joke. Shards come in, we use them, Bungie resets everything the next day. It's a bag of shite. And what makes it worse is that there's a great game under all this. If we must grind give us more modifiers, shake it up. Take the HUD away for a level, give us pistol only missions. Timesplitters was managing this over a decade ago, Halo managed it great. Matchmaking for raids is needed too.
-
I'm pretty sure activision are the ones dictating how bungie releases content. All you have to do is look at how cod is handled. If bungie were backed by a different publisher then things would have been different for the best I presume.
-
2 отв.I would comment on how you are correct/wrong, but you throw insults around like the rest of the hateful. So I assume you aren't looking to actually have a coherent argument.
-
2 отв.I gotta agree with you. Next thing we know we are going to have pay to win console games. Oh you want a gally? It cost 1600 gems. Buy 2000 gems for 20$. Clash of clans is a good game but it turned the App Store into cancer. Would hate to see this shit happen to console games.
-
I do not agree with tactics; personally I am just looking forward to new content whatever that content will be. The dark below was short lived. The HoW looks like a good chunk of content. Content I am willing to play. I have been playing this game since October. Some things get old. I just recreated my warlock so I had something to do.
-
1 ответHeres a question for you. If bungie/activision wanted to get 100 dollars a game. Why not just include all content at release and charge $100 dollars like they did with the digital guardian edition, instead of cutting it into pieces and charging 60 here and 30 there? What is the economic sense behind that decision?
-
6 отв.You mean this is what's wrong with the world we live in. People always think they are owed something. When a company puts a product out, it doesn't matter if it's up to your standard or not. If you like it, buy it. If not, look for another product that you do. The world doesn't revolve around you, you can't expect everything to be perfect in your eyes.
-
This is long i know that and im sure ppl will put the obvious tl;dr but i feel it is worth the read especially if you want to see from a non hating and non fanboy view. While i agree with you on certain points you have to also think if a few more things and you cant compare this to games 5 years ago. Whike sure it may seem like we get less, and in some cases we do, we still pay the same $60 for a game that is 10x better quality than if they released a game of the quality from 5-7 years ago. Prices for things increase over time, youd be blind to not see that in your everyday life, let alone vidoe games. Wages increase and so do the materials, its just a fact and if they were to increase the costs of the games to keep the same profits we would probably be paying upwards of $80-90. While i agree there are so called 'fanboys' who wont budge on their thoughts and dont accept anything else no matter if theyre wrong, but i cant help but see you doing the same thing with what you posted. You stated your opinion but made it seem as if you dont accept my opinion then youre wrong and yourr a 'fanboy', and with this reasoning you will never get people to see from your point of view or change peoples minds. Youll only cause arguments and do more harm than good. You just became the very thing you were bashing just on the other side of the fence. Just my opinion and perspective. While I dont think we were screwed by Bungie, nor is this the first time a company has done this. Everyone is freaking out at Bungie when other companies have done the same thing for years now. You cannot put all the blame on them and act like this is the first time its happened, it just may be the first time its happened to you and now you care. I have put so many more hours into this game than anything before and for the $60 or $80 i payed was well worth the countless hundreds of hours of playtime. Especially when they keep adding and updating things most people want (notice i say most bc some ppl dont care for certain updates i get that). Where as no other console game i can think of at the moment has done this much updating for a rather small price, what $30 dollars for the dlc and all the updates if they were to charge for the small things like vault inventory and whatever else they have added and are going to add. Well thats it for now but im sure ill think of more, especially when people start commenting and adding. Im open to discussing and having a conversion with people about their views on this and having an adult conversation without insults and the like. I wont reply to someone unwilling to see beyond their opinions.

2 отв.So when did the video game industry crash then?

Изменено (GigaChrome): 4/24/2015 10:31:02 PMLol, is this an old topic. People have been ranting like this till day 1. It's been much less in the last 3-4 months. My conclusion, better to wait 6 months+ for a much better game than release with more content but less art, design, community feedback, and overall product will have all improving updates that make destiny better. Its like giving a kid a half cooked cookie, but give it time and give him more treats well he waits and when it's done he gets one awesome cookie along with all the other treats. Last, can everyone be quiet about console games turning into iPhone apps. I cant think of one IOS game that is as fun, has as much longevity, or more content than a normal console game. Sorry for my rant, piece out guardians. :)

"I got no problem paying for a product." I stopped reading after that for fear of stroke/cancer. Whew.
-
Well put I totally agree
-
1 ответLuckily there's no more war and hunger in the world, otherwise I would find your post to be a bit silly.
-
People want to make a shitload of money off of a lackluster product with investing as little time money and effort as possible. So sad and fvcked up. Eventually we're going to get sick of it, it's just a matter of time. Then we'll put them in a position to where they will have to perform and do better than what they've been doing
-
TLDR, also cancer.
-
I was vocally critical of Bungie prior to HOW details coming out. I said if they didn't nail this expansion, they'd be in big trouble. You can argue value for money till the cows come home, but the fact is they've made a host of changes all requested by the player base that add significantly more variety and customization to the gear grind. So what if you have to hop back into the VOG and get another gun/piece of armor? Seriously dude, chill.
-
^Oh yeah?! Well this is what Bungie thinks of what you have to say ^ ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
-
It's $20... Quit filling this forum with more cancer.

5 отв.I hear people complain all the time about the cost of the DLC for this game. The average game does not have a player base with hundreds upon hundreds borderline 1000+ hours for some, worth of playtime each. I remember putting in about 100 hours each into Fallout 3 and New Vegas to platinun trophy them. I felt that $60 bucks was a great value for each. I've more than tripled my playtime with this game. For $60 plus the DLC it has probably been the best value for my dollar when measured in dollar amount versus time spent playing the game.
