EDITED a with some refinements.
You don't directly trade gear, instead you use the strange coins.
How you sell:
Instead of Xur outright selling exotics, Xur is a middle man for buying and selling exotics and legendaries between players. When Xur is in the tower, you give him any weapons you'd like to sell and Xur will tell you how many strange coins you can receive per item (should probably be around 20-50 coins for very rare items DETERMINED BY THE DEVS). He keeps your item either until it is sold or until the weekend is over. Depending which happens, you'll either receive coins or your item in the mailbox at the end of the weekend when Xur leaves the tower.
How to buy:
Go to Xur during the weekend when he is in the tower. All weapons that have been put up for sale by other players will be organized by type. Example, you're looking for the Ice Breaker, you navigate to exotics and then snipers rifles and then Ice Breaker. The menu will show whether that weapon is available and will indicate how many are available. Extremely rare items could sell from 400-600 coins.
You don't have access to any gamer tags and you don't know who you're buying from or who purchased your items.
Value legendary and exotics insanely high (200-600 coins or more depending on rarity and desirability DETERMINED BY THE DEVS). This is to make purchasing items less desirable than grinding for them from RNG and force a substantial amount of time and saving strange coins in order to make purchases
Have Xur charge players a finders fee of around 75% or more (to keep the value of currency high and also keep players from being able to quickly collect a large amount of strange coins.)
This trading system would be geared towards players who have multiples of things they don't need and would like to get something other than a shard out of, and players who have a ton of time but can't seem to get that one item they want and so can set a goal and work directly towards getting a specific reward.
If it looks like certain weapons are becoming too easily obtainable and should be more rare, they can increase the price or vice versa the other way around.
Thoughts?

No. Stop it. Trading. Is. Garbage.
-
Everything is exploitalble :)

1 ответThis sounds like crap. I could just call my brother and tell him to go to Xûr right now. Also 600 strange coins is more than what most people have. The only people with that many are the people that play too much.
-
Yep you turn in a Plan C you get the same amount of coins or less that you would of bought it for when XUR sold it. 17-23 none of this 200-600 stuff.

1 ответLove the concept, and it could work except..... There's not enough diversity in loot or enough of it for an adequate trading system to work. Mostly all level 32 players have the same exact gear and weapons. Those who don't raid your 30s-31s all have pretty much the same gear/guns, which look nearly identical regardless of faction. If Destiny had more content/loot and rare gear/guns were worth something I could see a trade system working well. But with the current amount of loot, it's pointless.

7 отв.Wow just stfu about this trading shit and play the game. Grind for your weapons, don't get them handed to you.

Runescape Grand exchange style

2 отв.Изменено (Redacted1607): 4/28/2015 5:48:58 PMYour not serious about the exploit part?? I could easily tell my friend to be at xur the exact moment I post my crap for one coin and he could get it. The chances of someone butting in is so small. Specially if I do it when no one but the 2 of us are standing there. Also what the heck am I going to do with 600 coins. I have every exotic ?????
-
Trading will never work plain and simple, not enough items on the board for it to work. Now if destiny had an item base like wow or DC universe than yes it would work. I leave this here to prove your post is now invalid. Goodbye.

I like the idea except the price. 200-600 coins? A lot players have lives to attend to. The current RNG system and this idea have the same problem: time. If they already don't have an exotic its probably because they can't grind all day everyday. That means they can't grind for 600 coins either...

I like how you give the Weapon/Armor to Xür. However instead of the guys over at Bungie's Dev team deciding what something is worth. It should be put up for auction, this is claiming to be an MMO, why not add an auction house. People can decide themselves how much the item is worth to them.
-
Not a bad idea.
-
Sooooo.....u want an auction house? Nope
-
How about WoW style where this is a set time limit where you can trade it to a friend and afterwards it's untradeable.
-
When they implent a system like that. What i have from it as a Day one player? 500 Coins 900 shards 50 Exotic Shards Then i can give stuff away for free too No day 1 player needs coins or materials. New players could never buy something because it is too expensive. If you put it down to low like between 50-100 coins for Ghorn then Xur could sell it too. Trading could be a thing If we have over 100 Exotic Weapons. But even then i wouldn't like it
-
I don't know how the economy should work, in terms of prices. But I like this concept
-
There's always a way to exploit a system
-
What if you wanted to trade with your friend and not some random?

Изменено (Erijian): 4/27/2015 8:15:49 PMI feel like the prices of old 300 weapons would be pretty stupid Same goes for the Praetorian Foil's price if Raid Weapons were able to be offered.
-
I like this. But add a few more things to buy with strange coins, like new shaders and weapon skins. That would be cool

5 отв.This is actually really good, Its like fifa ultimate team :D (i hate fifa btw) Its a great way to spend your coins and sell your shizz for coins/shards Maybe you could select maybe: 331 Gjallarhorn = 300coins Or 331 Gjallarhorn = 100 Exotic Shards OR :31 Gjallarhorn = 150 Exotic Shards + 150 coins

Clan trading? Keeps players invested who are more likely to be invested by nature of forming a semi permanent end game team, using currency to meter the trade is a good idea but ultimately it would come from people who you play with regularly. Adv: spreads the wealth around a limited number of people who commit to the grind, attracts more people to end game content. Dis: people abusing the system (duh)
-
thats fine for exotics but what about other stuff like legendaries, material and so on? honestly 98 percent of the people i meet while doing patrols purposely hinder me in doing bounties so why should i care if they get something? if i was gonna trade i want to trade with someone i know that maybe needs some radiant or ascendant material or maybe a legendary sniper they may be missing or need. they need to implement a trading system like warframe has

3 отв.Trading should only be allowed between fireteam members at the end of a strike or raid. Trading would be limited to 1 transaction per team member and can only include weapons/armor that dropped during said raid, so no pulling from old inventory. Example: Run Crota hard from start to finish, player A got Suros from death singer, player B gets G-horn from corta each player already has said item and agree to trade, they earned these as a team and should be allowed to trade as a team. Trading would be limited to a 5 min window while still in game. I have been on multiple teams where a player gets his 5th freekin G-horn and just dismantels it. When I have been playing since day and have ALL Exotics both weapon and armor currently in game for X-box 1 have all raid gear and weapons from VoG and Crota BUT have never been lucky enough to get G-horn.
