That awkward midrange the 90% of encounters happen when not a close range encounter. Honestly you should never bother with a long ass range encounter anyways. Even with a scout rifle or hand cannon. The vex is on paper the best pvp gun for 90% of the maps. Id say the thorn or hawkmoon are a close second in terms of best primaries in the game. Surros in third. Shit doesnt always work out and surros does beat it hands down at mid range and so does thorn if all shots are headshots. But not everything is always a headshot so there is no point in going into specifics since those rarely happen.
Nope it is still horrible past mid range due to the bullets having a major flight time due to it firing singular' fusion rifle' bolts, so if they strange at longer ranges you'll tend to only hit them with skill AND luck combined...
Yepp fusion rifle bolts have a long flight time while other bullets are generally pretty close to if not 0.
These are my findings, if they strafe, even at closeish range I find myself having to aim ahead and compensate, if they strafe at mid or long range you're basically screwed, Javelin would be a more useful perk for it to work at longer ranges
