Ive seen warlocks miss with nova bomb and with shatter modifier with the super. I've seen a titan over jump me in pvp and Ive missed with it in pve. Hunters with bad aim will miss with golden gun but the blade dancer melee sweep/teleport is much harder to miss with. Even jumping back or to the sides you cant avoid it most cases, cant really run ether since they are going to be faster then you most of the time. The shock wave modifier for the blade dancer special can be avoid though. So its not 100% instant death special. They can be gunned down with enough firepower but not even a rocket will kill most blade dancers in one shot while the super is active, fusion grenade wont kill them ether when you stick it to a player. It normally takes multiple people to kill one bladedancer while his super is active. Just like how its possible to kill a striker during his smash animation, or a warlock in mid throw animation. Its hard to get done but it is doable to do.

  • I think warlocks don't get a damage resist when popping their super. I know I've shot quite a few warlocks out of the air mid super and have been shot out of the air myself. Best range on a super so easiest to stop?

  • I do believe they get a resist increase while in the animation, its not as noticeable because it is a slow animation unlike the titans so you have more time to shoot the warlock before it goes off.

  • I don't know - seems like the damage numbers don't change. Then again it's been a while since I shot a warlock out of the air now that I can just drop the bubble and laugh.

    You're kinda missing the point. Yea, getting lucky 1 out of 10 times you can sometimes avoid dying. Look around though, this topics been up forever. Regardless of super it happens. Titan comes around a tight corner...bam havoc smash... You're telling me you" hope" he hops over you? A warlock gets the drop on you. ..you noticed him on radar but had no idea he had a nova up his sleeve.....you're" hoping" his aims off or the huge blast radius doesn't kill you? A hunter comes running in, he takes a rocket to the faces, survives, slashes left and Regens his shield, he's being shot up, slashes right kill another guy, luckily support fires being fired from range....he gets 1 more kill but the lucky guy at range survived so that makes it all ok? Now plug in my radar idea. Now imagine how a player would react to radar. Think about it. Cause for the most part, supers are unavoidable. "Sometimes" ,You can manage to survive. Or counter with your super if circumstances benefit you. But how often does that happen?... Give it some thought. I get what you're saying, but honestly, supers grants easy kills with not much penalty. Risky ones cause you to die sure, but most of the time you got at least 2 guys down.

  • I dont hope a titan misses with his smash, I do hope not everyone will stand in one place blocking shoots or giving him easy kills. Same with the warlock. I've done it and been in parts of groups that would stand on the capture point and let the warlock or titan nuke the group. A better radar wont help them if we already wont move away when they seem a titan charging us or a warlock in mid air. We deserve to die/kills if none of us are smart enough to get out of the area. The hunters at least has to activate it out of sight and most of the time its the sheer speed and range of the sweeps that make the bladedancer annoying to fight against. A even better radar then we already have is not what we need, its smart players to not stand in one spot without moving that would be good to have.

    Your points taken. Still, you don't see mine. Radar makes a WORLD of a difference. Right now it helps with shotgun and sniper campers. They show up on radar even if crouched. Now with a yellow ping...you notice your radar showing yellow? ... Watch out guys. He's super charged. World of a difference bro. Course you still gotta react and play smart. I'm not an idiot lol. Yea some players do stand There. But face it. Sometimes you anticipate an opponent. On your radar it's slowly progressing letting you know he's close and almost there. Pinging red. You're ready with your gun. Right on his head. You're ready to strafe and even jump of you have to. Bam. Super. Not much you can do with that small limited window. There's no way you knew he was super charged until it was to late. I'm not raging. I'm just saying what we've all experienced before. If it doesn't change, I'll still play. Just thinking out loud.

  • I just don't think it will make a difference even if know someone who is charged with a super is coming towards you. Your already aware someone is coming so your already thinking about what to you want to do. In theory that is, i doubt some people think about these things Now chat in pvp or strikes would be far more helpful then a more a radar update. At least that is how i fee about it since I like how limited the radar is now, personally preference really. I can see you point but I don't think its going to help if players already don't want to move or already get in the way of fire when your trying to kill another player or help them by firing from another spot.

  • Well sure. You do know they're coming already. Except a shotgun to the face, hell even a rocket launcher to the face didn't stop them. Meanwhile you stayed a little more close to the corner cause you anticipated say...a shotgun...non supers. On one side. ...great. supers took out shot gun campers etc. On the other...there's a lot more to this than that. And yea I hear you man. If it were up to me, the player interaction button would be to toggle public chat channel on or off. By default fire teams are private channel. A quick button press, now you're public. A little help tip would fix confusion The game needs work in a lot of areas. I play it like every day though. I like the game even with some flaws.

  • Aye the chat and lack of in game lore feature are big issues to me. Well more story is need, not just bounties but story to go with them, like actually going to the reef, talking with the queen and being asked to return the favor or scenes showing you the awoken ship docking at the tower and a brief introduction to the character and why your helping. I still enjoy the game overall, even if its lacking in areas. The radar to me is not one of them though. i already try to find a nice place to fire from or some kind of cover from enemy fire. Does not help if my team all likes to stand on a point while someone charges them though. team interaction is need, not a better radar. Just how i feel about it. Its a good idea I just don't think its what the game needs.

  • Yea....I really hope bungie gets the ball rolling again man...then only thing I haven't done yet is the raid. But there's so much lack of story. I thought Destiny was gonna have missions like phantasy star online. Idk why, But Destiny reminds me of that game. I'd like chat to finally be fixed. Radar, I've said I'm fine If It doesn't change. In an ideal world though, I'd like both. Shit, in an ideal word I'd have crouch on L3 Lol. I use puppeteer, in a perfect world I'd just switch the L3 R3 actions Oh well though.

  • They laid a lot of ground work but not enough follow though with any of it yet. Tons they could do with the queen, different faction missions if you have enough rank with them. More with the exo stranger could be done. They barely touched the cabel yet and I found a nice area on Venus that has high level Vex with a shielded what I think is a elevator so they have areas to work with still in the maps. I really hope they have more planned for this event then just bounties with harder settings. Don't get me wrong I love the challenge I was just hoping for more then just bounties.
