Supers being unavoidable . Radar fix

Nearly all Supers will most likely remain unavoidable for the most part outside of countering with another super (if circumstances benefits you) I posted this before in #feedback but it sank to the bottom very fast. Idk if anyone got to read it. I'll post it again. Not word for word but same anyways though. I want more players to view it, if a mod wants to move it back to feedback that's fine. Hopefully people get a chance to see it. I guess you can call this my answer for supers being unavoidable. Its a radar enhancement. Ponder on it for awhile. Might not be such a bad idea. Radar enhancements to avoid nerfing supers repeatedly in time; (some may need a nerf or not, but hear out this idea) - ping players yellow Instead of red on radar when they are super charged or in super use to fix unavoidable supers. If they're firing primary gun but super charged they still ping yellow. Outcries generate from players because a player zipping in blasting a super off creates an unavoidable experience. Yellow ping creates situational awareness otherwise not possible through the current radar. A bit of reasoning why I think it's a decent idea [spoiler] now supers require a more strategic use rather than rushing in wining the lottery blasting a super off or charging in with one. Also this creates situational awareness allowing strategic counter measures to be executed. Would it make supers useles? No. As awesome as it feels to rush in with arc blade and kill an entire team, I know for the most part it's unfair to the other players to just stand there without much to do as I get health regeneration per kill using arc blade. Of course, FOH has shut me down plenty of times though haha. Like I said. This encourages strategic super use. You can set up a flank ETC . If they don't pay attention to radar, hey it's fair game now. There's multiple openings all over that map. So it wouldn't make supers worthless just cause players anticipate you on radar. They're still certain death. The element of surprise is still available. Its just more challenging to accomplish now. [/spoiler]

  • Nah. Though i wouldn't be against improving the radar overall. I hate running to an enemy because the radar is blinking only to find out that they are actually below me. I should be able to tell if someone is above or below me on my tracker if they are on it at all times. Instead of running to jump on someone only to find they are a floor above or below me.

      • Super. As in superior. Super attack, as in an attack superior to others. It should be room clearing. That's just my opinion though. It adds more dynamic to the standard FPS format and I like it how it is now, btw I'm a warlock that uses sunsinger all the time, pve and pvp. It's super, Radiance, does not room clear, it can do some serious damage and even kill a couple guardians, but it's mostly a support perk. I use it in PvP when I die in a good opportune spot too use it, resurrect, spam nades and get my revenge.

          • They're super abilities, they should be hard to avoid. Its not like you're getting killstreak rewards or something, so dying every so often doesn't matter.

              Ive seen warlocks miss with nova bomb and with shatter modifier with the super. I've seen a titan over jump me in pvp and Ive missed with it in pve. Hunters with bad aim will miss with golden gun but the blade dancer melee sweep/teleport is much harder to miss with. Even jumping back or to the sides you cant avoid it most cases, cant really run ether since they are going to be faster then you most of the time. The shock wave modifier for the blade dancer special can be avoid though. So its not 100% instant death special. They can be gunned down with enough firepower but not even a rocket will kill most blade dancers in one shot while the super is active, fusion grenade wont kill them ether when you stick it to a player. It normally takes multiple people to kill one bladedancer while his super is active. Just like how its possible to kill a striker during his smash animation, or a warlock in mid throw animation. Its hard to get done but it is doable to do.

              • Yeah, supers are pretty uncounterable. Most maps have close quarters and sharp hallway twists that makes it so enemies can close in on you and move into effective super range quite easily. Once they do that, you really can't do jack shit except die. Can't dodge, can't jump over it, maybe if you have 5 guys shooting and the Titan lacks super buffs then maybe.

                • Better idea just autoban players whining for nerfs. Then autoban players that use anything someone else calls op. Then autoban anyone with a k/d over .6 then autoban all NPCs then autoban anyone with the commonsense to not have bought the game in the first place but waited for the goty. Then everyone is happy and content because nothing got nerfed and nothing is "op" /endsarcasm

                  • I think a small yellow aura around a player when they have a full super bar would suffice.
