It's true that some games don't have infinite primary ammo, but you are usually able to replenish them from deceased enemies after every single kill, Destiny however does not let you
Enemies may drop some, or not at all for a long time, they may not drop when you need them, or you get a small box with a few rounds in it (1-3 rounds), that can do nothing against what the player is being faced with
Also the difficultly is no where near the same, and these games are not as technical, esoteric, and obscure, and their weapons are capable of taking on the enemies, they never feel deficient
You probably didn't play vanilla d2 but primaries had no infinite ammo and were still weak. Cold heart was mandatory for Calus back in the day on top of wardcliff
I do not look back fondly at those days
They nerfed primaries in both ammo and damage and when complaints came running out of ammo wasn't fun. It took them 3 years to give us infinite ammo to compensate for their weakness
Nope. We did Calus with 6x Sweet Business and 6x Rat King and do him one phase. Primary could be weak if you overtuned nightfall with "seven of swords".
During beginning vanilla or during forsaken?
Because I call cap bro..if a team has to glitch a dps run, then just equipping 6 rat kings or sweet business was not the fix
Cold heart was used for calus because it had target lock not because primaries were weak. Wardcliff was used because of an ammo glitch paired with the bottomless clip warlock boots
Only if we bring back ammo synths!
Though honestly, the pacing of D2 content is probably too fast to realistically be able to use them as effectively as you could in D1.
I'm specifically referring to how in most high level content, you probably won't have the time to duck into a 'safe' corner to pop a synth when you actually need the ammo. Plus, with timers governing your respawn pool, gone are the days of 4 hour long nightfall runs, where you can afford to wait out the synth cooldown.
