At 400, you are only going to get pinnacles.
This is a mix of rng and score based.
Meaning A’s are your only target.
From what I have seen, this is a slog.
Saying that… each activity will have a featured focus.
The green icon.
Those “extra” drops increase your chances for a pinnacle drop if you are hitting those A’s.
The streamers all jumped on an exotic mission in the pinnacle tab that took 5 minutes to complete and farmed it endlessly. Getting 4 “extra” drops each run.
Bungie addressed this within a couple of days, but those that knew farmed this.
But you are looking to do content with as many as those green “extra” engrams and farm those options.
Bungie did nerf this in solo ops and in matchmaking portal options as they disappear after completing them,
I am unsure with the pinnacle options.
They are going to buff this next week…
But just sharing what I know.

What is your drop rate for Primes following your advice? Running Caldera with no extra drops, A rank every time, my average was 12 runs. You're doing the same thing the streamers are; stating "facts" with no data to back it up.

I am not stating facts… Just like everybody else, they are trying to find the strongest consistent drop rate. I am freshly 400… so I have no data other than what others in the community are finding to be the most consistent. Primes drop from just playing. That is very true. I just got three pinnacle drops from the whisper mission since it is, as of writing this, the only one with three extra drops in the pinnacle playlist. But since people are farming for pinnacles there is enough data out there now. Then you take bungie’s words of which they are “boosting” said drops. Not implementing but boosting. I am not arguing or telling people what to do… Just stating everything I have gathered.

Yes, but your rank is only predicted when you customise it. Usually you need 84% (three full bars and half of the forth) for Gold tier. Powerful Engrams (above 400) can drop as long as you have a predicted 76% (so three bars full and a smidge in the last one).

Primes or pinnacles can drop without an A grade, does an A grade increase chances, if so can you point to where that's stated as well?
