Weightgate is it a tool used by Bungie to punish those that criticize Bungie
Two weeks after posting my dissatisfaction with Bungie, I've been stuck at 403, only to make 406 by visiting Zavala for two armor pieces and a sword.
Makes you wonder how some of the content creators and some of their watchers can post that they have gone from 400 to 450 in 5 days.
I'm sure they were grinding solo K1 and Caldera non stop but so have I and no luck for me.
Almost seems like Bungie is retaliating for posting about the current state of the game in a not so favorable light on Bungie.
I've been recording everything to document what has been going on and have acquired data from other players.
The pool is small and nothing definitive yet. But we're looking for more data to see if weightgate is being used to punish those that speak out.

1 답변Idk man, I talk smack about Bungie on here a lot, on Twitter a REAL lot, and found that the way I was playing seemed to be influencing my drops. These streamers and youtubers make -blam!- up constantly so you'll watch their videos. Can you get Primes with C grades? Sure, but according to Bungie, and in my experience, grade matters. I ran Caldera for a few days, all day, noting every Prime drop and how many runs it took. While doing this at B/B+ grades, I averaged ~20 runs per drop. After seeing the TWAB from last week? The week before? Bungie said the fastest way to get Primes is by getting A grades as fast as possible. I switched up, started making sure I was getting As on my runs, and my average dropped to ~12 runs per Prime. At ~6 minutes orbit to orbit running Caldera, doing the side objective and getting an A every time, you'll get Primes every hour 15 or so. Don't listen to these streamer clowns making nonsense up for views.

1 답변Your tinfoil hat is on too tight. Causing circulation issues. Also the only way to confirm your theory would be to start d-riding Bungo and see if your RNG dramatically improves out of nowhere. Best of luck with your experiment.

While I highly doubt Bungie manipulates RNG for an account, they did add censorship flags to accounts. Let me explain. After Bungie added the the new and "improved" profanity filter, the one that censored fatebringer & many other non-nonsensical words. I typed out a line then had a friend in the clan type out the same exact sentence. The result? my words came back censored while the clan mates did not. I went further and tried this with a few other people, and found that some players could types out sentences while other could not even though they were word for word the same.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised but I do think it's far fetched given that requires component coding and programming in all honesty it's just the terrible system for drop that they consider reasonable pacing probably over compensating for lacking in there personal life

4 답변작성자: Some geese (Harrowed) 9/3/2025 1:04:02 PMhey friend, i want you to know up front that i'm saying this out of very deep concern, and from personal experience: the thing that you said reads very very closely aligned to what paranoia that stems from psychosis feels like. i have to have my friends talk me down off tangents like this, because they are factually untrue. i fully understand what you said and how it feels, it is the worst ongoing thing i have to deal with. it's been on my mind since i saw this post last night and i just wanted to say if you really feel this way and aren't using hyperbole to get your point across, if it feels true, just because it feels like the truest thing you've ever said, that doesn't mean it really is. i'm not going to tell you to go touch grass (that's not helpful at all) but i do think you should reach out to people and ask them if you sound insane, and then go from there.

15 답변At 400, you are only going to get pinnacles. This is a mix of rng and score based. Meaning A’s are your only target. From what I have seen, this is a slog. Saying that… each activity will have a featured focus. The green icon. Those “extra” drops increase your chances for a pinnacle drop if you are hitting those A’s. The streamers all jumped on an exotic mission in the pinnacle tab that took 5 minutes to complete and farmed it endlessly. Getting 4 “extra” drops each run. Bungie addressed this within a couple of days, but those that knew farmed this. But you are looking to do content with as many as those green “extra” engrams and farm those options. Bungie did nerf this in solo ops and in matchmaking portal options as they disappear after completing them, I am unsure with the pinnacle options. They are going to buff this next week… But just sharing what I know.

I cannot say either way but when you get one piece of gear you want to get to match the others it wont drop. In short ran empire hunt tw8ce,A rank both times....primary didnt drop. That "chance" is based off if you NEED it or not imho Not a massively big deal but its supposedly targeted loot and if I didnt need it, I would have got six

I am 100% with you. Exactly 2 weeks ago i was 409, now i'm 413 thanks to Zavala. I think that I have around 20% win-rate in everything and it's getting worse every day. Also I think that Bungie has some kind of Blacklist to make it worse for players who are critical. Bungie wants those players to stop playing Destiny 2, so there won't be any more criticism.

If it's used to punish then it's also used to reward if your going claim weightgate. Or.... a 5% chance to get something for 1 player vs another is random. Some might be lucky and get drops every 10 activities while others won't get a drop even after 30 activities.
