Missing the point. It’s going to return provided they keep updating the game. I think jug/ant titans are -blam!- annoying but I don’t dare forget how -blam!- it used to be. We got here because of lazy game design and poor balance philosophy. Mark my words. Icarus dash will be hit, bombadeers or strand clone will be hit, well of radiance, ahamkaras spine, child of the old gods, -blam!- oath keepers. They’re annoying because they work and if they work people will use them and if people use them Bungie will nerf them instead of increasing the potency of the competition.

That’s the issue is it not? That things get nerfed for working as intended.

That is indeed the issue, that they AREN'T "working as intended" When one class/subclass/exotic/weapon ect vastly out performs all others it needs to be addressed. This is the way the game is and has always been and WILL always be. There will always be something stronger then the rest, you only need enjoy it while it's the best in class, because it won't last forever.

I’m not saying that nerfs are never justified I’m saying that the way they nerf things is nonsensical. Again refrain from thinking about how annoying it is and think about why it’s being used. It does what it says it does with little to no deviation from that and it is reliable. You know what isn’t reliable? Path of burning steps. I can get 3 kills and not get a damage buff. Lance cap I need to use the abjectly worse barricade to use an inconsistent ice lance. Cannon brace is literally just “random BS go!!”. Everyone let’s bungie get away with watering down the effectiveness of exotics, abilities, cooldowns and the potency of special weapons until we’re back in the D2 vanilla meta with double primaries. Slowly butchering each class on the way down until literally everything is a -blam!- dice roll like we’re play Dn’D.

I understand your point and I somewhat agree with you, but if they don't do something it will continue to reign supreme. The only other option is to "adjust" everything else to bring them up to the same level and even then something will still be stronger, one way or another. Also, that's too much like work, and we all know they ain't about that. It is unfortunate, but that is the way it will go.

Well I disagree. It has been proven that they listen when people complain. This is my attempt to sway opinions so the complaints away from “nerf this” to “buff this”. I think that’s healthier and is at least indicative of what people want to use instead of what people feel forced to use. My favorite exotic is twilight garrison(lol) but of the ones in game I just love the way mask of the quiet one looks and the idea behind it’s operation works well with how I play but it’s just not viable. That being said I don’t want to see the day where MotQO is mete not because it got buffed but because everything around it has been nerfed into wet noodles.
