As we approach this point again…
Can we please stop with the bs nerfs.
You’re going to come down hard on arc titan and many people are going to applaud you for doing it just like they did before but please don’t take the easy route and -blam!- it into the dirt and instead increase the consistency of other subclasses.
The reason people use arc titan now is because you nerfed void titans and they only use void titans because you nerfed solar titans and they only used solar titans because you nerfed stasis titans and they only used stasis titans because you nerfed stasis hunters and they only used stasis hunters because you nerfed arc warlocks.
Can we stop with the bs. Embrace the fact that this game is -blam!- chaos. We’re well past the days of Destiny E Sports hope and we just want to play a fun arena shooter but I feel like my enjoyment is hampered by how inconsistent the philosophy of balance is in this game.
The hard truth is that arc titan works and works well. All other subclasses just do not do what you expect them to do at all. If I’m going into trials I’m not going with the melee that’ll hit once out of 3 times and I’m going to use the one that works.
This arc titan surge is only your fault for rampant nerfs. Bubble sucks, bastion is slow, sunspots (HAHAHA), shiver strike is GARBAGE, strand melee’s will miss 3 TIMES IN A ROW, 7 second shoulder charge refresh while shatterdive and Icarus dash have higher uptime. exotic nerfs so ridiculous that Peacekeepers is on the chopping block. Why wouldn’t I use arc titan.
This will repeat on and on until you guys realize that you should just make all subclasses on all classes potent. That’s where balance lies in Destiny not in this weird meta rotation where the only skill that matters is the ability to identify what is broken faster than anyone else.

8 답변I'd just like to say, bury it, DEEP! And never let it return. Seriously tho, it does need a slap down. I'm not advocating for any nerf, but it is kinda outa touch with every other class/subclass in the game, so you know it's going to cop it.

17 답변If arc titan were only good because the other titan subclasses were bad, it wouldn't be the single most played subclass of any class in high-end crucible. Besides that, Void Titan is very very strong and only not played as much because Striker is SO good. Everything should not be brought to Striker level. That's too high. But it also shouldn't be nuked. I don't want Striker uncompetitive, I just want it inoppressive.

There is zero chance Bungie can make the entire community happy. There’s also zero chance that they will deviate from whatever it is they have planned. It’s their game and we are along for the ride.

Also would it be chaos with or without primaries being a part of that? Either way I guess I have to respect the fact that you even attempted to defend arc titans. The solution sounds like it could be pretty solid. Of course that all depends on what people think is really happening. Hunters, for instance, really only have to barely cross the line into potency before people are calling for their capes (which titan players have literally done on here multiple times) and now look at them. The mobility class with almost no mobility related additions outside of strand for a while now. And the removal of a hallowed exotic? Are people going to be able to handle having every hunter class be potent?
