Except trials is meant to be end game pvp for the hardcore pvp players to prove themselves…bungie keeps trying to cater to the bad players.

The challenge with keeping it a high tier only mode is that it gets stale quickly for the higher tier players. The activities in this game greatly benefit from larger player pools. There is a good compromise here between accessibility and end game skill, and I think Bungie is just starting to figure it out but they aren't done yet tweaking the formula. Now they need to apply this same mindset to the raids (normal modes) and this game could really be in a great spot for everyone.

There's such a hypocrisy in this mindset though - its supposed to be endgame for the hardcore players, but the hardcore players are mad that they have to face the other hardcore players. It seems like what a lot of the hardcore players view as 'endgame' is them vs mediocre competition. I'm not a good trials player either - I just played it for the first time ever today, and it was a grind to get 7 wins without worrying about flawless. I don't worry to much about trials cuz its not 'my thing' but its been clear for a long time that there's a huge lack of logic in the pvp community

Except all that kinda went out the window when people gathered over a hundred flawless runs by win trading, cheating, dossing and running the most broken op stuff in the game while running stacked against lesser skilled players. Trials just isnt the competitive mode people think it is. If it was a ranked system like Arenas in apex, then fair enough, but it just a bunch of sweats doing carrys and trying to make a living of it. Most people just want the adept loot because this is a looter shooter and new loot or elusive loot just makes people want it more. If bungie made all trials weapon drops, adept drops, then most people would just earn the weapons without going flawless and never give flawless a second thought. But let's not pretend like trials is some super competitive and fair game mode with sbmm and rank tiers to stop the top playing with the bottom.

The “majority” of the game isn’t good enough to go flawless lol. It’s end game for a reason. You don’t see them nerfing raids and making them easy for scrubs to complete just cause the majority can’t understand a simple mechanic

Your comparison of PvE to PvP is hilarious and moronic The majority doesn't need to go flawless but increasing player interaction in a stagnant game mode isn't a bad thing either. Gaining rep from matches played is a step in the right direction. Separating new players from those that have a -blam!- bucket underneath them is a good one too. Most games, if not all, have placement matches for ranked where after a certain amount of games you get placed in a skill bracket and play against people of similar skill: flawless v flawless. Problem is Destiny is not very robust when it comes to that and PvP nerds don't like playing against people like themselves and cry out against anyone offering changes to their farming methods
