You do not raid or pvp.
Do you play any endgame?
That could cure the boredom considering patrols and strikes do get boring.
Or take a break and come back in November.

For me it has always been about time vs reward. Sure the gear is cool, but it has never been a compelling enough reason go in. While I play destiny regularly, scheduling time(vs family, other interests, etc) has always kept me away. Mainly because I never wanted to say I would be there, and then have to cancel. So I push the game to its limits in terms of what a solo player can do, and historically, that has been enough because I always like collecting gear and trying various rolls, load outs etc. Now that they introduced Dungeons. I have a couple of friends, who I have been pushing to play more, and we have had fun doing that content. Again, this is plenty for me. I have never had issue with finding things to do in game. For me it is the loot incentive that has been lost. Mainly because of Bungie micro management of our gear. I actually liked upgrading gear with use in D1, paying mats to do it faster. It made the choice more personal. I think if I were younger with more free time I would raid, but as it stands, it just isn't worth it to me.
