People have been whining about Hunters since Day 1 of Destiny 1. You could restrict them to just Double Jump and people would still cry about them. Everything Bladedancer had ended up getting nerfed in D1 and people still weren't satisfied. People even whined that the subclass based on trapping enemies, Nightstalker, could actually trap people with Smoke and Grenades. Everyone even laughed at Dodge when D2 came out.
Everyone agreed that Arcstrider was bad when D2 released and needed buffs. It finally gets them and now everyone throws a fit. Same with Spectral Blades.
It's never going to end with these people.

^This And part of it is the well known fact that THE PEOPLE WHO ARE REALLY GOOD AT OTHER PVP GAMES TEND TO PICK HUNTERS. WE HAVE A GENERALLY HIGHER SKILL CEILING BECAUSE OF THE PLAYERS THEMSELVES. Literally you can constantly see this all the time. I can't tell you how many times even back in D1 where Ive gone to look at what games said Hunter has and what their gamerscore is and they're very obviously good at other big PvP games. Whereas most times when I look at a Warlock or Titan the difference is noticeable immediately.
