Use whatever you want. I personally think backup plan Erentil is cheesy as hell. And I wish people would stop thinking that the amount that people use a certain weapon is indicative of how OP it is.
The problem is if you add up all the OHK cheese weapons and then look at what percentage of kills they get in the sandbox (especially in comp) its just too much for the game to be competitive and fair.

Why do you think so many players crutch Destiny PvP even though it’s been the most neglected thing for over a year now? Because the ease of the mode with amount of one hit kill potential is unparalleled. Between free kills from supers, special weapons, heavy weapons and 1 hit kill abilities, there’s really never a reason to pull your primary out. In fact, you’re doing something wrong if you are. This is why I laugh that some players think Trials will help boost the game. It would literally be an unbalanced, cheaters paradise. Basically, people just need to play PvP and accept whatever it is at any given moment.

Or... ORRRR. Maybe a lot of people don't like using the cheesiest thing possible. Maybe the thing a lot of us like about Bungie games is the multi-shot aspect of PvP. The weird thing that people say is that you need x amount of situational awareness in order to use it. How do you not need even more situational awareness to use something that takes more than one hit to kill?

This is going to be a really toxic take but it’s a trend. I’ve noticed majority if people defending the erentil struggle to break 1.0 is Quick play. They don’t want to get better with anything else, just want easy mode.
-
Erentil in Quickplay... Need you say more? And its not Toxic. Its right and it shows that you pay attention to what's going on. Its just a stupid weapon. Its indefensible IMO and the continued justification of stuff like it is what's holding the PvP in this game back. If they actually truly tried to create a competitive environment without worrying about how much people who are playing PvP need to grind PvE this game could have been what we all wanted it to be competition-wise. But nope.
-
I’ve always said that the double primary meta at launch was so close to being the beet pvp meta. The only thing holding it back was Ttk. Insert primary ttk that we have now into the launch meta and you’d have a competitive and skillful, but always FUN meta.
-
In this meta rarely am I able to say that somebody outplayed me being Special ammo is so abundant. In the primary meta I could learn from just about every death being I could see I missed shots or should have disengaged. Now it’s just, “oh I should’ve not walked through this doorway” as someone is sitting crouched in the corner with a shotty.
-
Exactly, in any engagement in this game you have to open yourself up to at least 3 one shot weapons/abilities. No matter your skill level at least one of those are going to get you because it’s impossible to dodge a revoker in the back of the map while dancing around a jump spamming mindbenders hunter. Not to mention Todd your team mate sitting on the side lines eating popcorn
I’ve always said that the double primary meta at launch was so close to being the beet pvp meta.
You shall not speak of D1Y1 like they were actually on to something that only needed to be tweaked a little bit. I was going to say something similar to this but I was too much of a p***y to say it. All Y1 needed was faster TTK and movement speed. They should go back to that foundation for their competitive based modes in addition to keeping the circus modes for anyone who wants them. You know what's weird? I was looking in the store and they have a Marathon 25 year anniversary shirt in there so I looked up marathon on the internet because I never played it. I always new Halo was revolutionary PvP-wise but I had no idea that Marathon was too. And now look what we have. Marathon was revolutionary, there probably wouldn't be MLG the company without Halo, and now we have OHK everything with no ranks and nothing to earn and P2P and no leadership from the company that used to lead when it came to PvP games. Simply because people will get mad that they have to practice if they want to actually get a kill. Its kind of a shame actually.

That’s just the trend is resent gaming and it’s sad. Make everything easier for new players, which is okay to an extent, but now it’s getting out of hand. Nobody wants to take the time to get better, everyone wants a 3.0 KD after their first 3 games and if they do t have it they complain the game is too hard and demand and easy mode, the recent COD is a perfect example of this.

작성자: A_mo 12/31/2019 11:06:08 PMNever been a big fan of COD because its all OHK but I've heard its gotten ridiculous in the name of cash. Seriously though. I didn't play but the last 6 months of D1 and I played that and this game on a bad connection for the first year and a half because I wanted to get better. There's just something wrong when Quickplay is the sweatiest mode but it means nothing and they do their best to cater to people who want to play against other people but think that the objective shouldn't be to win. It's just silliness. There are all kinds of things to do in this game if you don't want to play other people and try to win. Don't know who is making these decisions and I have a ton of hours in PvP to the point where sometimes its just like I just don't know what to say... They take care of their best players and they take care of their worst players. That's what its come to and the worst ones always end up screaming bloody murder if you nerf their OHK and leave or threaten to leave and Bungie folds because they want to keep the player numbers up not knowing that people that are actually trying and practicing are leaving because Bungie keeps on with the making PvP in this game meaningless.

Pretty much. Catering/building a game around new players has been the downfall/death of every title ever. They need to build a decoy fam base that likes the style of game play of destiny. Destiny is inherently a higher skill gap game being gun fights require preform etc; but Bungie seems to be fighting their own gameplay philosophy by making it easier, that’s just me though
Catering/building a game around new players has been the downfall/death of every title ever.
I mean, the reason why I bought $30 worth of silver last season and am on board for New Light and all that is because I have hope for the game to succeed. I would never in my life pay more money than is necessary to play a game but "its to support the game." But at the same time there's only so long we can go with the pay us more money for less content angle before none of us fanboys have any way of defending what they are doing. There's just been far too many people on here that have even more hours than I do saying they've lost hope for the franchise and that is definitely not a good thing. The thing is that PvP needs to be about beating the other team. Not quests and bounties. Not who has the better shot registration that they have earned over time (which is another story that I'm not going to get into), and definitely not about whether or not you will eventually buy something from the cash shop. Like you said. The concept of skill gap is almost non-existent at this point and I honestly don't know and don't understand why. I wish I could come up with something with respect to why that is the case. I'm not the best PvP player ever but at the same time some of the shit that happens in this game in PvP is just stupid. The decisions that are made are for the wrong reasons. But at least I got hope. The game is more than good enough to have the hope.
