I’d love to see them go play a game of CTF in Halo and not go for Rockets, Sniper, Overshield or Camo. Let’s how well it goes.

Its kind of an unfair example though. For a couple reasons I can think of, but I feel like the main one is that only one person gets the power weapon in halo. If you are playing CTF on countdown in reach for example, yes you absolutely should have a person looking for the sniper spawn on level 3 by the rocket or the camo on the balcony but the rest of your team has to keep playing the flags. They don’t stop what they’re doing to get the power weapon. This IB quest pretty much encourages people to periodically stop playing the actual game and go pursue a secondary objective for a quest, just to let them turn in the tokens that they have already earned.

Yeah I know, but my point is that securing a power weapon in halo is a one person job, maybe two for help but one person picks it up and uses it. In destiny any amount of people can pick up the power ammo, so theres nothing stopping a full team of 6 from leaving zones so that they can get to heavy. Also in halo, power weapons play a much bigger role in the objective than in destiny. They are crucial to controlling the map and the objective, like you say any smart team will get a power weapon to make a play for a flag in CTF. But with control in D2 the power ammo is in play for maybe 30 seconds, and it isn’t really used to make a play for an objective because spawns just flip and if a team gets wiped by heavy on one zone they will just spawn at the other. You don’t need the heavy in destiny to make any sort of play or to win because compared to halo power weapons, heavy ammo in destiny is weak and this is why the IB quest is flawed. Basically, Halo requires you to control the power weapons as a secondary objective since you basically need them for map control in game types like CTF, hill, and even just slayer. But in Destiny you can win without using heavy, in fact sometimes it’s better if you leave the heavy alone to control the zones since the heavy will be out of play very shortly after. This iron banner quest however forces you and your whole to play that secondary objective when you don’t even need it to play the main objective.
