I didn’t like the joke in the first place. Shit happens when a joke like that goes too far, and if he leaves for a while maybe that’s what it’ll take to get people to stop

... He was the one who started it, and he ran with it for a while, and then got really pissy with anyone who joked about it later, so maybe don't start a joke and then decide it offends you later... [spoiler]not included in the DLC[/spoiler]

There's such a thing as a joke going on for far too long. Sure, most people indulge in self deprecating humor, but no one wants that to be the only thing they have. It would be like you joking about one of your faults, once, and then that's all anyone ever brings up, in any conversation. Not exactly a fun time. Every situation has nuance to it. It's not as simple as "well he did it to himself so it's alright for me to do it to him."
