Mountaintop can be used as a trap that why you only get 2 as opposed to the fighting lion which starts with 11 but you can't pick up special ammo not sure if it was intended or a glitch. Mountaintop is not a noobtube machine its not going to guaranteed you a kill just because you have it. The inconsistency issues come from a lack of knowledge of blast radius and usage. These grenade launchers look like m203 but the performe more like airburst which is a good flushing tool to get people out of cover or kill behind cover. People would whine severely if they suddenly allowed noobtubing. The warlock is the only class that i know can effectively around the flushing tool mentality because of lunafaction and maybe the titan with the small barricade but thats pushing it.

Unless you’re responding to another comment or you are being more general about special GLs, the only time I mentioned Mountaintop was when I mentioned I was grinding for it. Also, after quite some time with them I am well aware of their blast radius, effective usage, etc. So I am fairly confident in tagging these inconsistencies as intrinsic to the weapon archetype. While your point on their more technical uses is good one, these are still special weapons with an extended range 1 hit kill as their primary focus. Also we did have a “noobtube” style grenade launcher in the form Militia’s Birthright with pre-nerf proximity grenades which allowed relatively consistent 1 hit kills, and I cannot remember that many people who actually had a serious problem with it.

Im taking about special GL's. They aren't supposed to be ohk which is why militia got nerfed despite nobody even bringing it up. Its not inconsistent just not ohk. I don't believe they should use special since they are not ohk but thats just my opinion.

작성자: Khireth 2/27/2019 8:42:46 PMBut they are. Any GL outside of Fighting Lion is able to one shot to the body, provided the game doesn’t screw you over, without any damage buff. The reason FL can’t is because it is a primary. The only real reason I can think of as to why proximity grenades got nerfed is that Bungie didn’t want a relatively easily obtainable weapon to outshine their new pinnacle weapon, which Militia’s Birthright absolutely would have had they not nerfed that particular trait.

Honestly, unless you really like grenade launchers, there's not much reason to pick up Militia's after getting Mountaintop. Mountaintop just provides too much utility compared to other special GLs with its insanely fast projectiles and the intrinsic explosion-on-contact for its spike grenades, or, as you pointed out, the ability to lay traps with the sticky grenades. Though if you are looking to pick up Militia's, I would recommend getting ambitious assassin on it as having 2 grenades in the chamber really helps in any less than ideal circumstances.
