Folks need to stop saying “if they’re that good with Luna/NF, they’re gonna beat you regardless of their weapon”. No they’re not. Luna/NF are just too easy to use and so forgiving to get headshots. You don’t see players running around doin that well with other handcannons, at least on console. So stop using this piss poor excuse and realize that Luna/NF makes folks a better player.

So at a certain performance people get separated into different sects almost. So regarding capability of a gun making a player actually good is debatable. The easiest way to explain this is in KD, I know yes get your groans out. Let me just preference this that KD doesn’t really mean much, as long as you get better and excel it doesn’t define you as a player. Despite this people tend to play like their KD most of the time so it’s the easiest way to explain this. Keep in mind people’s KD doesn’t always actually describe how they play. Sometimes someone might have a high KD but play much lower than it is, sometimes that’s due to being boosted or baiting. Ok, so my point then. Usually, people who are able to obtain Luna’s Howl legitimately are .8+ KD. Let’s say in a perfect world everyone plays like there KD, which they tend to do anyway. Luna’s wouldn’t make a .8 a good player though. People who are legitimate .8s severely lack game sense, gun skill, reaction time, and decision making. All come in play in a one on one engagement. So typically people who range from the .8-1.3 are lacking a lot of which is essential of a competent player so they tend not to benefit as much from Luna’s since it still requires gun skill. 1.4+ is where people start getting more competent. At that point, you gain game since most likely, reaction time, and your gun skill will be much more improved than a .8. This is the curve where people start benefiting from a gun like Luna’s/NF. The simple reason why is because they can utilize the gun’s perks to the fullest. Which in turn is scoring easier obtainable kills and dominating the players below them? Tl; Dr: The is a player curve to certain guns that make a player better by their knowledge of 4 essentials to a shooter. Players that don’t have a good grasp on the 4 essentials tend not to benefit from the perks of the gun. People who have a good grasp on the 4 essentials benefit greatly from these type of perks on these guns, which caters to the essentials.
