I know some guys named Cayde irl (Maybe change a few letters, or keep it the same) And they’re completely fine. Destiny community isn’t a massive uber-sized community like Fortnite or Minecraft, so close to no one’s like “OMG HIS NAMES CAYDE LIKE FROM DESTINY OMGOMG WHAT A LOOSER LMAAOOO” It’s just a name. By your logic everyone with the name Rick, Luke, Cass, Peter, Brian, Scott, Tony, Nathan, Ray, *insert videogame/movie name here* is also a loser.

Second, by the time he's old enough for it to matter, do you think that any of his peers are going to make this connection? Unless he announces it, no one would ever know that it came from Destiny. Sounds like OP may not be the "sad bastard" in this situation ;)

I've known thousands and thousands of people in my 39 years, not one of them has ever been called Cayde. Incredibly rare name. This game will be remembered for many years as an example of a terribly managed franchise.
