You are correct. I was referring to an example of your router choosing channel 1 for years, but your neighbours new router is destroying channel 1 and your router can’t tell that and stays channel 1 (with auto selection feature).
There’s a million things that can cause/fix it. Blaming a strange on a video game forum isn’t a fix on the list though.
I park my car in the middle of the highway you know I’m the cause for a traffic jam. But if my car is invisible like WiFi, how can you possibly know my car is the cause?

Fixing networking issues is usually a ballache process of trial-and-error though isnt it? Thats just how it is. I remember I once had interference on a hardwired line from a powered-off PC that was also connected to the router. Figure that one out lol. One day the internet will be plug and play. One day...

Bungie knows this and will ban innocent people without any fault being the player’s, to make Bungie “look” like it’s fixing something.
My hotel wifi disconnects up to 30 seconds at a time and lets me kill anyone without them moving or seeing me, then the kills register upon reconnection, and the way the lag works, the system will NEVER know it exists Meaning I had to ban MYSELF from PVP while others get the ban I am suppose to. Crucible isn’t worth messing with the business wifi even though I worked for it’s company for years because even losing one hotel customer in the process is worth more than losing ability to play Crucible while I am here.
I mean you either remove the one lagger, or let them spoil matches for others, 11 people at a time. Its not exactly a hard decision to make. And I bet if you kept playing on that connection you'd get permabanned. That sounds like a full-on lagswitch!

작성자: AubsTheBelieber 2/7/2019 9:12:28 PMGuess what. That “lagger” can simply be experiencing issues because their area needs a Node Split (simple terms, new line rewiring on the streets and equipment) but their provider has to wait for a new CMTS (head end equipment costing no less than $60,000 for 1 out of hundreds of different equipments needed to even make Internet). But they can’t do the work for a month because they have to put the new CMTS in later because they are converting to Docsis 3.1 so the player has no clue or impact on an issue that they can do nothing about. Once you start getting into those factors, anyone including you can get banned at anytime without ever even knowing what caused it and having 0% power to prevent it.

작성자: AubsTheBelieber 2/7/2019 10:24:26 PMSimply put. They just need to allow appeals for bans. I support bans 100% and think this system needed to be created years ago, but with the information I’ve learnt over the years, I can GUARANTEE over 50% of bans will be players that had no impact or control over what happened and them getting banned. If it’s not actually about 85-95% of bans being wrongful and unjust, then I would be absolutely shocked. If someone can appeal however, by simply allowing even just 1 email, they can say, “the problem was A, it was solved by B, and you can confirm by data from the month after the ban it doesn’t exist anymore”. But they can’t even communicate a 2 minute to read and prove email to Bungie and that’s -blam!-ed. I would be banned right now in this case because the company I wasn’t even with had a new employee doing their install and accidentally crossed into our wiring so hundreds of peoples services weren’t working properly for days while they tried to find a problem with factors (other company’s materials and actions) they had no clue about. Both 100% not my fault, and 100% of all impact in this situation was literally my shots and movements not registering and only hurt me. It was messing up the upload in such a crazy unique way that my actions I wanted, couldn’t go through, but nothing coming down towards me could be impacted so I would have literally be banned for having my game not work and giving others an unnoticeable advantage. When you can get banned for a random issue lasting only days where you stand still in Crucible and anyone can kill you where ever you are standing for a few seconds, then it registers the kill but nothing you did to react to the player, your just over kill punishing someone in a lame situation in the first place.
